Just wondering if any of you guys that grow in SOCAL, U.S. have ever noticed enhanced resin production after Santa Ana winds? That blast of super high heat (90-105 F) and super low humidity (5-10%) which usually lasts a few days.
I started a small greenhouse last year and I noticed a burst in resin production on all my plants right after a Santa Ana wind that fall. I just noticed the same thing again this year.
Plant defense mechanism in the works???

Yes it's normal plant defense against the wind.Santa anas blast plants and beat them up pretty bad at times, add in high heat, low humidity and big night time temp swings for the perfect storm.
