So i got a diary already but it turned into a discussion thread. So sorry to the mods but will you delete that one and ill start anew.

Anyway so my gear finally came in. Dope shit. I started germinating 10 got 8 out of it. Once they popped i put them in starter pots in a 5 part mix. 3 FFHF, 1 perlite, 1 vermiculite. And placed them in my prop tray with dome. RH in dome is ok if sprayed 2-3 times a day. RH in whole room though is another story. But am going to pick up a humidifier today. Thats why i used bag seed to start. And get ahold of my environment. #1 & #2 are booming already. 3-6 pulling right behind them. 7 & 8 not so much. Temp in dome is between 73-80. RH is up and down depending on me spraying but holds pretty well and i haven't let it get below 40%. I hope im doing thithis right lol.started them germing on 13th.

Also any input so far is nice. And what is ideal RH for a veg room? I was thinking between 40-50%. Yeah? No? Thanks

60-70% if you can handle sanitation / mold disease growth. Check out Your vapor pressure deficit (vpd)

So 60-70 cause diseases and mold and such? I thought that was too high. Thanks for info though. Dumb noobie question how do i check vpd? Ive heard of it and pretty sure read something of that nature but im lost. Lol

No but it becomes a more suitable environment for things to grow as well including bacteria, makes swings more harsh, if you don't clean your stuff regularly you're asking for problems, but still better than low RH growth.

Ok but being a noob i think i could handle slowed growth over PM and such. So ill still shoot fot 50-60% instead. That should help balance the scale

Thanks. Its just bag seed. Running a live test with them. Before i monocrop with white widow x big bud. Time will tell

cool beans... mi casa is yours brother always welcome. Feels great to finally get going after all the research and time in understanding any of it. Im far from some of the premium farmers here but i have grasped the consept. Nothing to it but to do it.

Nice lineup, theres several carb loaders out there, molasses is pretty cheap, i think i paid 6$ for a little jug. I seen some that are supposed to add different flavors like blueberry, strawberry, etc in a catalog, but Im sure they are more expensive, and also have no idea if they work.

Molasses is what i leaned to. Alti was looking at big bud bud candy or kushie kush. Molasses may give a relative effect for an 1/8 of the price. Oh yeah thought about picking up a small bottle of piranha. That and voodoo juice look like they rock the root zone

Even with humidifier in there i can't get RH above 43%... i tried turning out take fan down but it raised the temp some even with circulation fans on. Any tips or suggestions about a solution

And if my room stays that low of RH and temp stays about 73- 78° wont they dry out and need water more often?

depends on soil and size of the plant, my big ones need water every 3 days. when you get in bigger containers the RH will rise because it will take more water to water more soil

Anyway RH stayed in between 40-50% and temp was at 73° pretty much all day except when I was messing in there. I can make it do what it do though;)
