As you can see, she decided to grow some balls. I don't really enjoy dealing with fem seeds so I decide to just pluck the balls off and not try to cross my deadhead with the bubba

Figured something was up so I poured the last 4 cups out onto a plate and was able to find the 4 seeds. For some reason they just died after being planted.

So I have 10 healthy cornbreads. As for the bubbas, they aren't stretching at all, so I think they'll end up being much too short. Kind of a waste but I should have known better then to jump into a run from seed. I think they would have done excellent from clone with a 3 week veg.

In the meantime , I'll be popping some alien gear and starting a new log in the grow diaries section.

I'll update here once the bubbas harvested and I start a pheno hunt run of cornbread from clone

All my s1s are far too short to yield much. I'd scrap this grow but the other half of the under current is running deadhead from clone so these bubbas will get to finish.

castrate that thing

3 girls grew sacks. I plucked them all off and keep checking daily.

The only girl I really liked visually was the #3 , so for shits and giggles, I took a kitchen knife, cut a bottom off, and stuck it into a glass of water. 20 mins later I plopped it into pre charged coco. If it died, no biggie, but if it catches, I'll do a new bubba s1 run from clone on a mom that was basically chosen in the dark lol

What's weird with the cornbread is that the biggest sprouted seeds have turned into the smallest plants. The seeds that popped last and had the smallest tails are now the biggest girls

Just a small update.

Bubbas are looking really good. I don't have pics right this second but will go snag some. They stayed super short but keep stretching little by little each day.

As for the cornbreads, I totally been slacking on them. Waited a bit too long on a transplant, didn't have them under a T5, wasn't watering enough, low humidity and inconsistent temps on these girls but after a transplant and a 4 tube t5, they have started to take off again.

There are 10 total cornbreads with 3 lil runts. Normally people toss the small slow girls but ill keep em arouns to see what they can do. they will be getting flowered once the current room gets harvested on Xmas.

The new tent for moms finally arrived yesterday so maybe I'll get that up today and get the cornbread into a nice humid environment.

They been dealing with 30-40% humidity which has really slowed them down.

I'm 99% sure bubba s1 #2 is the keeper which I didn't take a cut of. If its worthy after harvest I'll keep the bottom of the plant and regenerate it so I can get some clones

The bubba is almost on week 7 so they'll be finishing up within the next month

Hey FooDoo...solid thread with good info...I was curious at the start how they would fare considering I haven't really seen much Bubba grown hydro style, especially from seed...did any of the ball droppers grow new balls after being plucked? Did you have any of the lemon lime, or lemon head candy smelling pheno's show up? The number 3 girl looks just like this extremely piney girl I found in the first round of Bubba S1's I ran...is your #3 piney, evergreen, menthol smellin' at all? Sometimes the frostiest ones aren't the keepers.

Thank you!

I wish I had ran these from clones, or at least given them a 4 week veg without topping but that was user error and had nothing to do with the genetics.

In the hydro they have grown perfectly so far. They have almost no stretch at all which caught me off gaurd but other than that they have never shown def or burn and have stayed super healthy the entire time.

Its now week 7 and the bubbas are really starting to pack on weight. I'll snap some pics with the Nikon today of all the phenos. My two favorite are #2 and #5. They are incredible .

As for the sacks, after I plucked them off, they never returned. 3 of the girls had em but they weren't one of the two that I plan to keep.

As for smell, its hard to get any specific scent from room. It's all scrubbed and half the room is deadhead og. The entire room sort of smells like a Starbucks . when I individually pinch the bubbas and rub my fingers for a smell, I'm not getting any crazy funks from them. I'll know better once I chop.

Here's the cornbread with the bubba s1 #2 cut. The bubba is.finally revegging and the top bud sight is quickly unraveling

Hey Foo...how's the #4 smell? She kinda looks like Bombthreat is why I ask.

Can't get any specific smell off the girls. The entire room smells like a bag of coffee .

Bubbas are coming down in a week or so.

Cornbreads aren't ready to give cuts yet so I'll do a run of gsc first while these keep growing. I think I'll transplnt them into 3 gallon smart pots to speed things up
