Started using the latest prototype of The Growing Pot. The Growing Pot is an expandable modular growing system. Transplanting is no longer needed. The plant will live in this container until it’s harvested. When it’s time to go into flowering I’ll add another section just like this one below the current section and viola the soil volume has been doubled.

It holds about 1 gallon of soil so when doubled it’s just a hair over 2 gallons.

This same pot can be used for drip, dwc, rdwc, fill and drain, coco or whatever.

The bottom has a snap in grid to allow ample drainage and for the roots to grow through to the next layer of soil.

The base has holes to allow air flow and easy emptying of runoff water.

This has been a year long project and this is about the 6th design change taken over the last year.

This design I hope to get to market ASAP. I may end up doing a kickstarter for this soon so I’ll update that as well if I go that route.

Just cleaned The Growing Rack. I like to clean it every month to keep a clean grow space for my plants. I’m often surprised just how much stuff I have in there and the little space it takes up in my home. It’s in the corner of my home office.

I really like the Growing Pot, small, efficient, and I hope that I'll be able to buy one of those. My (real big pot atm) I had to take out several holes in the pot, making sure that they were small I used a BB gun. Loud, but it worked. The sooner for stuff like your idea/plans are much more likable that some of the ones that are out on the market right now.

Until the Growing Pot comes out..use a soldering iron instead of a BB gun to shoot holes in the pots..

That would be done as well, but I don't sadly have a soldering iron. The closest I have is a glue gun, and the pot is WAY to thick for that to work (it's about .3/1 inch thick) But thank you for the idea :) I will be looking into more appropriate tools for this. Since I just moved into my own home only about 3 months ago, the money is kinda slim at the moment.

A drill works too! I used a $4 soldering iron from the old Radio Shack.

I'll probably try with the drill next time- right now I'm just getting back into the swing of growing so only one girl to grow. I do have more seeds, but I need to see the room I'm going to need as well. Thank you again Buzzer777 ^_^

The white dust on them is from the foliar spray i was hitting them with. It had some liquid lime in it and made all my vegging plants develop a white residue. No biggie. Little extra calcium never hurts ;-)

My morning zen ritual. Got my coffee, ecig and puppy by my side. Doesn’t get much better than this.

A quick update pic on the UZI Cookies. Coming along nicely. They are starting to hit their stride.

Pic of my watering section. I like to keep lots of different mixtures on hand ready to go.

V = veg nutes,
F = flowering nutes,
A = additives only,
Tap+ = tap water plus calmag+
- Recharge + Calmag + Herculean Harvest ph’d to 6.0
- Recharge + Calmag + Herculean Harvest at tap water ph (7.0-7.2)

I typically ph my nutes to about 6.5 or slightly below. Been playing with it lately to get optimal results in my soil mix. I was at 6.0 then went straight tap water at 7.2 and now I’m in between.

Get some 1 gallon OJ jugs..They are much thicker and last forever, unlike the water jugs I see (tried them too)

I go through them every few months. The cost is negligible. I do have some other jugs available and will get to them once these wear out. It’s just easier to recycle them than clean them out.
