I did a very high nitrogen top dressing, root drench and foliar feed.

Out of 88 plants,
staminate flowers appeared on 3;
I'm gonna do it again--
no sign of nitrogen toxicity...

[addendumb]:
Although I've been 100% on pre-flower ID in the past,
I'm entertaining the possibility that I just plain missed some;
and it was just coincidental that they showed right after the N++;
if so, I'm apparently in good company;
I read at least three posts this week by experienced outdoor growers,
surprised at having the same problem--
weirdness abounds...
