What Have I Gotten Myself Into? 315cmh And A Coco Monster

Forgot to include the pics lol.

Did another pretty heavy defoliation and gave her nutes right before the pic.

Added in Cannaboost at 8ml/gal.

Seems like flowering is progressing alone at an average rate. One of the smaller plants has much more mature pistils coming in. And the other plant barely has any lol. The big coco beast is somewhere in the middle

Hopefully someone can chime in! I believe this is a Cal problem... Or maybe P. Any ideas? I upped the nutes by 1ml last watering... from 9ml/gal to 10. Maybe that will help. She’s stretching and growing like crazy!

Would a cal/mag foliar be good?

Could it possibly be too much light? The 315 CMH was only about 14 inches away. I raised it now.

The only other thing that has changed is the addition of 8ml/gal of Cannaboost and the 12/12 light schedule 13 days ago.

I might have fed her a low pH watering last time. That could have caused it, I think. My pH pen is only good for like 2 tests then needs to be recalibrated. It starts to climb by .1-.2..... gotta love Bluelab lol. At least now I know to calibrate it every single time...

In the “zoomed out” pic - you can see “torn” leaf in the bottom of the pic for reference. The rest of the plant looks healthy!

It’s only a couple leaves being affected it seems. Older big fan leaves.

Cool cabinet. Keep it growing!! I've seen people say that's cal/mag issues, but I really don't know. I run a 315 in my cabinet 12-15 in. and haven't had that problem. Good luck.

A lot of guys running coco here and doing well. I think most like me are doing multiple feedings per day (we never let the coco dry out.)

You could also post up that picture in the infirmary section to get some help.

I’ve read bits and pieces of those - Do need to read them from the beginning. I love growing in CoCo so far! This is my first attempt at it, and it’s killing it compared to everything else I grew in soil. It’s fun getting to feed them daily and things. I like seeing how the feedings make them react and grow like crazy.

I could probably up the feedings. Been watering a couple hours sooner each day, working on getting it down to every 12-24 hours at least.

I started a thread over there in the infirmary. Hopefully some people will chime in.

Here are some pics from last night on day 15 of 12/12. Buds still seem to be coming along fine. I really hope I get the problem fixed before it affects anything. Seems to be okay for now..

Come to think of it. I saw a gnat flying in my house a few days ago. And being paranoid I went and sprayed all the plants and everything with SNS-203. Maybe that reacted weird with the leaves. I’ve had similar things happen after spraying Spinosad. Hmm.

The only advice I can give is if you put your hand right above the canopy and you can feel the heat on your hand then the light is too close to the plant... We've actually been thinking to converting to the CMH lights, but I just talked to a guy in Silicon Valley turn me on to some LEDs that I think are finally going to convince me to switch over. But that remains to be seen. I've been using Pro mix forever. And when I can pick her up with one hand I water and feed them heavy. Ween them on , overdosre, wean them off, dry Em Out , flush em, cut, hang , dry, cure.
ENJOY. REAPEAT.

I went from HPS, to CMH, and now run all led. Cree cob 3590 in flower and QB led in veg. Couldnt be happier.

3.5' x 3.5'. The cobs run cooler than the open bulb 315 cmh also. Nothing wrong with cmh if you go that route either.

Thanks!! Took my time planning it out and didn’t cheap out this time lol. Went for super stealthy. Besides a slight amount of fan noise, you’d never know what was in that cabinet in the living room! Lol it’s aweosme!

When you say feel the heat - do you mean to the point of it being uncomfortable, or just a good amount of heat? It’s a little warm, but just feels like a warm sunny day lol.

I wish we could go with LED’s! Some time in the future. Gotta love the terpene production from both CMH and LED. At least the ‘studies’ say..

Thanks man! Just got to start and then work your way through every step of the way! There’s problems that arise but staring at the blank cab like a crazy man trying to figure out how to make it work and be functional and look good... That’s the fun of it! This is the second cab I built too (well, technically third) - the first one was way more rough. Use it for vegging now. Figured out lots of little things that made this cab much better.

Pics from Day 21! Not much to report. Buds are getting more hairy and almost connected up the stems. Going to give a weak dose of PK 13/14 for probably 6 days this week. Then again in week 5 or 6.

Also had 1 of the 3 plants herm on me. Maybe from too intense of light or weak genetics. It was just a bagseed. It hasn’t seen any stress in flower, it’s just in SuperSoil. He/she got chopped! Kept the tiny little flowers, not sure if I can even do anything with them lol. Maybe cook?

Day 24 of 12/12. How’s she coming along? Input/comments much appreciated!

Feeding A+B at 9ml/gal, with 3ml Silica, 3ml calmag, 6ml Rhizotonoic (slowly dropping that), 9ml Cannazym, and 8ml Cannaboost. Been feeding Cannaboost since pistils started going crazy

Going to add in PK 13/14 tomorrow I think for about 6 days at 4ml/gal. Then again at week 5-6ish at a slightly stronger dose (6-8ml/gal).

I wish I knew the strain. Any idea if she looks like a quick, average, or late finisher? I’m tentatively running off a 8 week/56ish day flowering time. The CMH and CoCo seem to help then finish faster too?

She’s getting sticky as hell! Gave her a little defoliation after the pictures and my fingers were sticky as hell! And she’s starting to smell gooooood. Smells like a ripe ass banana. Exactly like a brown ugly ass overly ripe banana. Lol.

Held up a thumb and a gallon water jug in a couple pictures for size reference. Get smacked in the face with strawberry and banana smell when the door opens! Not much else happening besides the nugs starting to form. Going to just add PK 13/14 around week 5.

She’s sticky as hell! Went in and plucked some leaves and my hands were all sticky. The nugs are starting to get heavy and wet. Trying to avoid mold issues by plucking off some inner leaves that are sitting on each other. It’s a tight squeeze up in there lol

Still feeding 3ml/gal Silica, 3ml Calmag, 9ml A+B, 9ml Cannazym, and 8ml Cannaboost. Dropped the Rhizotonic again from 6ml to 4ml. Will drop it down to 2ml over the next week.

Used about 2.7 gal of water instead of 3, so the ppm came out to 840 up from 750ish. Always ph to 5.7-5.8. The ppm coming out was 710 if that means anything.
