What size pump?

What is the gph per bucket that I am looking for?
Am I looking for it broken down by bucket or by total gallons of system?
I am tinkering with building a smaller setup using 4 gallon buckets.
I also want to build a bigger system too.

All Under Current setups have roughly 5-6 recirculations per hour. Check their site for reference.

That doesn't seem correct though. If I have a 25 gallon bucket, water only needs to be exchanged twice an hour?
I could understand a 5 gallon bucket, water is exchanged 10 times per hour.
