Atlanta woman Norma Cheren, 79, was supposed to have hip surgery this week, but that's now unlikely unless she's given a day pass from jail after police say they discovered more than 9 pounds of marijuana in her home.
Cheren's arrest warrant says the septuagenarian was seen Thursday night selling more than 8 ounces of pot.
'I cant' believe that she’s over 60,' neighbor Jennifer Brown told reporters. 'Let alone that she (might be) doing that kind of stuff. This is too much.'

Cheren's southeast Atlanta home was raided and police came away with a large amount of marijuana and two metal lunch boxes filled with more than $130,000 in cash.

Hmmm. How come I don't see anyone cheering the fine upstanding members of the Atlanta police department for doing such a great job of keeping our streets safe?

I firmly believe that at 79, she ought to be able to do ANYTHING she fucking wants short of murder/torture. And I'm a little conflicted on the murder/torture idea.

This world is full of injustice. Stick and move, folks!

I like how the reporter took full advantage of using the word "septuagenarian". We have to rise up or we will surely fall down. Better have that life alert handy (Even the "youngsters"). Especially, in this fucking police state. FWIW, most of my closest mentors are septuagenarians. Positive vibes...

Could have been my Grandmother! She Died at 97 back in 1976 and left me her seed collection. Lot of the genetics ranged back as far as the early 1600`s! She ran a 103 unit apartments for the elderly in Sacramento and grew in one of the empty apts. and on the roof in small greenhouses. I went to her wake and all of the other tenants were asking me to score for them. She would come for the summer when I was young and thought me gardening and breeding along with my Great Grand Parents on my mother`s side of the family. Earliest I remember growing hemp was when I was about 6 but there was a picture of me holding a hose in the hemp section of the garden and I must have been about 3-4 yrs. old. Still got that picture Grandma had of me.
