Hi everyone, new to this site and hope im posting in the right part. I live in QLD Australia and this is my second attempt at growing outdoors.
My fist grow was a disaster and all were hermies and all for were just sad excuse for a plant. Anyway the plant i want to ask about was just a seed that feel from one of those and took off all on its own.
At first i just let it go and watered it about once a week as appose to water everyday like i did the last ones.
After a few months it was looking alot better than its mother so started to pay more attention. It wasnt until it was in full flower that i started to learn about topping and cropping so its just done its own thing. I'm really not sure how old it is but im guessing its about 7 months now. I've been trimming some flowers/mostly leaf off to some and its quite high in tch even the leaf is better than the crap ive been paying top dollar for here.
To cut a long story short ive started a flush because i believe its ready to harvest but the last couple of weeks its gone back to veg and new shots shooting out the top of the colas and everywhere really. What do I do?
Should i let it go and hope for more yield or just pull it now.
I dont want to spoil the good colas because one is really dense and full but still forcing more bud sites out.
I've added some photos, the plant looks pretty bad now as top has spider mites and i dont want them getting to the good colas.
I'm in desperate need of help on this as i dont want to spoil the good ones.

Yes we are in spring now so the days are getting longer and I also cut a tree down in my back yard to get more light in the morning. It was only getting from 10 am till 2pm thats all the sunlight i get in my back yard. Now its getting from about 8 am till 2 pm with afternoons getting slowly longer. I was thinking the plant was so small because of the little sunlight it was getting so was trying to get it more. Obviously not a good idea at this stage of flowering.

Yeah you usually plant in the spring and harvest in the fall. If you started flowering inside you should finish flowering inside. Once you start flowering you shouldn't really change the lighting. Did you plant in fall or winter? Did you start inside and then move outside?

I am of a different opinion than you are on whether or not to continue flowering her out. I say finish her and while doing so, get some other plants going, he probably still has time to pull another crop.

I say this because, in my experience, once they start to reveg, the bud quality goes WAY down and they tend to lose density, etc.

Shit so long as she doesn't stress too much you could let her grow through the spring and summer and harvest a monster in the fall
Not necessarily true i took some clones from a 3 week flowering plant and yes true so called monster crop clones , altough i am not nailing it with big power there on 24 hrs a day and what they look like 8 weeks later
Personally i think by the time that plant reverses and actually looks like a plant it will not be a monster plant as if you planted seeds i think seed would kill monster cropped clone but we will see am about 8 weeks in now and vegging couple real ugly deformed plants presently my guess is another 8 weeks before it looks like a real plant putting me in the 4 months from start of this venture
Although i am not worried really only took clones to keep the strain in Dec will fire up actual important seed grow for my out door season lol and these plants will be vegged till next year so 7 more months of veg indoor how much you wanna bet that 4 months from seed would give me a bigger plant ???

looks like you can take a clone off the right hand branch in the first pic, then chop that plant.
There was a shoot about the same size on the lower branch that I tried to clone but it just died. I dont have a clone dome and just put it in soil outside. Is that possible?

Better to put it in a cup of soil or perlite, and move it to an area of low light. I would also add light. I clone outdoors, but I use light and cups.

Just water for a few days and in the meantime, I forgot to mention that at this point for her to finish flowering properly you're going to need to start limiting the daylight phase of the photoperiod. You can drop a trash can over her when she's gotten 12hrs of light, and take it off in the evening after sundown. Make sense? If you need a tool to help figure out your total daylight hours this is one I like to use.

The maximum light she is getting is 6 hrs i dont get anymore than that in my backyard. Should i still move here and bring the light down to 4 hrs.
Also should i put her in 48 hrs of dark or is that only for indoor?

It's not the duration of light, it's the amount of light. If you use bright light on her, it'll take that much longer to root while she tries to photosynthesize. Put her in a lower light area where there's no direct sunlight, almost deep shade is best. Your goal here is to get the cutting to grow roots, not photosynthesize.

Ok awesome thanks for the advice.
I'm going to pull her tonight and hopefully succeed in taking the clone.
