1 or 2 times I tried to clone by putting the cut in water. one time i tried with water/soil, but no success.
I read online that is possible just to put the cut in water and roots will came out. It should be the lower part of the plant because of the hormones and with a mature plant.
What's the chance of sucess? If I try with 3, do you think i will have any success?
I dont want to spend money on hormones and special clone soils and all that.

Thanks!

The chance of success is very good. The only real problem is that it takes a lot of time.

keep changing the water. I've had some plants root this way accidentally. I think some plants prefer it drier to embolize though

I always go from cutting to cube and just straight water...was getting near 90% in a humidity dome

I just started cloning this round.

And so far I'm at 100% root growth.
The 1 that had died I transplanted when roots were too small so personal error.

Another possible personal error may creep up soon on a couple clones I took that were too small. But I will see.

The key is changing water once a week and keeping dissolved oxygen content high (bubbling).

That's my .02 cents

I prefer the slowness of the water only method. It buys me time keeping them short and small while the flower chamber finishes. If they rooted and grew too soon they would outgrow my 2x2x1 lower veg chamber before their time to go upstairs which would be problematic.

Change out the water every morning, and it will increase your chances. Chances are actually good. I use just water with a plug... and I'm running them well. This is the first time since I started cloning this way that one will fail, but I blame the plant. It might not have been fully healthy.
*edit I don't change the water out every day, 98% success, water, plug, cup, window sill...

Thanks for the answers! I think i will cut one or two more xD I just didnt realized it takes so much time. How much time usually before she gets roots? More than 1 week?

2-3 with just water is what I've noticed.

You can literally take a cutting, put it soil, keep it wet, and a floro over it.....high probability it will root. My buddy has cloned this way for 30 years, and still does. Remember, it is a living thing, and like most living things, it will do everything in its power to survive.
He amazes me, because he has 95% success rate. But then again, think about it....it is a weed ...(-;

Personally i use a aero cloner, with a diy chiller on it. He does admit, my clones look far better during the process, and he sure cant beat 6 day average to roots....lol but its his way, its beyond simple and basic, and it works. He is not changing....lol

I cut my clones, then soak them in water for 4-5 days. Then I cut them again and scar the bottom 2 inches. Then a quick dip in Clonex. Into the pro-mix they go.
I water by heavy misting them 1 time a day with plain water for a week. The second week I give them 1 watering with a minute bit of food in it.
1 week = roots. 2 weeks = transplant.
I have used machines, and built my own, but this works great for me.

Make sure you don't put fertilizers in water as it will trick it into flowering or if you cut it during flowering won't return to vege state.

Neither of the things you just wrote are true.

Fertilizers may inbibit rooting but only maybe and flowering is purely about light cycle unless its an auto. And i have 2 clones going that were cut at 9.5 and 11 weeks in 12/12 and the stems grew out of bud. Both were originally rooted in a glass of tap water.

Depends on the strain and your water. If your water is hard or the ph is way off it might not work.

With my current setup, I just cut it and stick it in a solo cup of dirt. But if your strian is picky go buy a $5 bottle of stimroot by promix. They sell it at Walmart. I've heard honey works too, though I've never tried.
