For indoor after a long time growing outdoors dodging copters my indoor career I actually started out with hydro and mastered it real easy in spite of everyone telling me to start in dirt cause hydro was too difficult. I took to it like a frog to water!!!!! I will say if maximum yield is your goal most would agree that a dialed hydro will out yield indoor container dirt grows. If you decide to go with soil I would highly recommend that you go organic as best you can.Especially if you are able to either do your own composting or have a worm farm for fresh casting supply. For sourcing amendments of good quality here is a site that rocks. Check them out . https://buildasoil.com/

Thanks bro for the encouraging words and for the ride along. Seems like it's been a long journey getting my rig/room ready and you have always had a pick me up when I've been discouraged. Ur a awesome peep brother.

Quick update. Cob rig is 4 ft away, water is at a ph of 6 and ppm is 400. Added lite dose of grow a and grow b

I forgot to add, when growing in soiless hydro. Dont be too anal about getting your Ph to stay rock solid at one level. I typically like to start around 5.2 and over a week I let it rise to around 6.0. The reason for this is it allows your plant to get a full range of both macro and micro nutes. If you keep it rock solid at one level you will be missing some of the nutes that are taken up at different levels. Then once you get up to 6.0 adjust it back down slowy and let it rise again. Note to self, when dropping back down do it slowly over a week as radical swings in Ph can and will piss your girls off, so easy does it when adjusting it back down to 5.2. I hope this helps.

@jumpincactus It's a recirculating drip/hempy pot design. Bucket inside a bucket, 25 gallon res with 12 gallon bucket. Mixing perlite and hydroton. 70 gallon per hour submersible pump, with air pump on 2 stones.

I originally wanted DWC however, frequent power loss made me re think that approach. The hempy pot design seems to me to solve that problem with having a built in res.

she looks happy-ish, my friend. keep it up. have you though about hand-watered coco? so very forgiving style of growing.

Depending on my amount of failure on this run I will look at mediums. This one is all about learning from mistakes and learning what I can do when totally out of my element. If that makes any sense. I'm gonna continue with the materials bought for now. I've always been interested in hydro from way way back. So u don't know till u try lol. I'm enjoying this so much it's unbelievable every day is like Christmas when I check on her. I'm hooked just gotta find my way that works for me and improve as a grower. This was this morning on the pics. Please all input is welcome. I figure this weekend I'll move into rig

Finally made move into rig and have seen some nice growth. Of course made a couple more mistakes lol. Believe I'm still fighting a mag issue. Letting ph drift from 5.8 to 6.1 and keeping around 1000 ppm. Feeding on a 3 hour increments for 30 min which drains back to res. Running a submersible fountain pump for a water fall type effect, no air stones. Temps in res stay at 70 to 71 it's a 25 gal. Temps in room are 73 with 50% rh. I dropped light a little under 4 ft, following advice and try stages and watch. Already burned once and don't wanna do that again. She is getting bushy not sure about letting her ride or snip some and where?

I'm running cyco on this run which is my first. They call for 1300 which seems rich so I backed off some. I'm running a diy 5 cob set up 250 watts, passive heatsinks. Gotta say I'm impressed with the light powerful as hell. Ask away bro I'm here to learn, no thin skin here. Thanks for stopping by.

I would back it off some. I just had to do the same. I was just over 1000 and started getting some funky stuff. Go down around 6-700 for a little bit and wait for her to ask for more. Whatever pappy Zan recommends is gonna be sound advice

lol thin skin? Have you read some of my post eh? lmao...
No sounds like you got a great light. Is it cree, or the other off brand, which is outstanding product itself... Cant think of the name but i think we talked about it once..
I feel lke they look slightly over fed and its showing in N toxicity. Very dark green growth but with that said your new growth is coming in lighter and you did say you dropped the ppm so that is prob from before you dropped...
We want to see more uniform color, and like to see the leaves praying a little more... I beleive in weekly paychecks... Judge your plants on a weekly basis to really get a good understanding of the new growth...
How many grows you got under your belt. I dont want to say things you already know like your stupid. I have read your thread but im older and forgetful lol
