Not so much. My calyxes will usually swell-up nice around the last 2-3 weeks of flowering. :character0201:

the calyx refers to the petals/sepal region of a flower. the corolla contains the gynoecium (stamens for males) or androecium (pistils and ovaries for females). i've heard people describe calyxes as bracts numerous times, but there is much debate about the definition of a bract with cannabis. flushing really swells out the calyxes and those last few weeks are when they pack on the weight.

the preflowers can have big calyxes if the cuts were taken during bloom and vegged

What kind of flushing regime do you recommend? I'm in the final phases and I've just done a preliminary flush with carboload, barricade (potassium silicate) and water.. today I've notice firmer buds.. My plants are not desplaying autumn pistil as yet, though they should be.. any thoughts?

sorry ferallady
