You need ventilation and some air movement (not directed on the buds). As long as you can keep the humidity between 40-50%. If you don't ventilate your house will smell like a pot factory. Plus the air being moved into the grow tent creating some fresh air which is healthy for the plants. Double positive.

lol, my whole house smells like a pot factory when I open the basement doors to let fresh air in... doesn't bother me at all };-)

We have a can fan with filter....don't want to alarm the neighbors. It's legal here but discreet is the best way to go. Do love the smell.

yeah, we live in the same state };-) I might setup a filter for my new bloom tent, it didn't get real strong until my girls were in full bloom...

my drying tent is in a spare room and smells a lot milder. The smell is definitely a little different.

First time using my 2x2x4 tent with a small fan just to move the air around. This is just two plants worth. I also have a paper bag full of popcorn buds in there. I'll probably harvest the other two plants I have next week.View attachment 703497
I know I'm a little late . Wondering how the drying and curing went ? What was your temp and RH in tent ? How long on the dry and any signs of mold ?

The drying and curing went fine, the RH was around 50% after about 5 days, it was initially up around 70% when I first hung the branches but quickly went down after a couple of days. The temperature was in the low 70s and had no issue with mold as I had a fan at the bottom of the tent circulating air. I also had the bottom vent open to allow air flow without letting light in.

The tent is a bit small and probably wouldn't be good for a larger grow. I got 2 plants worth in there pretty easily but all four of my plants would have been tight.

I dried my first two plants for 5 days until the bud was dry and a bit crispy to the touch but the small stems were not snapping clean yet. The second two plants I let go for 7 days and waited for the small branches to snap but I think I waited a day or two too long. All the buds were fine, cured them in 1QT mason jars for two or three weeks. They are still in the jars sitting between 55 and 60 RH

Thank you that's valuable info ! About to hang 1 plant today and 2 tomorrow. Got a 2by2by5ft tent . Have a fan I will place at the bottom for circulation. Also will leave small bottom flap open for clean air . Will use hangers and watch temp closely . I think I can get it to 73/55rh .
Anything I'm missing ? Besides praying

just don't have the fan pointing directly at the buds... and check multiple buds for dryness as they will dry at different rates

as it turns out, this tent is fine for one...maybe two plants. WAY too small for my six plant harvest. Trying to jam that much is impossible. Had to dry my last harvest in the bloom tent...

Just buy a tent and build a shelves out of PVC and problem solved then u can adjust them or hang the buds from them and then jars later ya I have to use a humidifier for my drying and curing room just too damn dry here in co so it's a must have and I set my humidifier up to my ro on a float valve and not have to worry with filling it up x2 a day for a week or 2 fuck that r/o float valve is soooo much easier even with a 1.5gal humidifier...And the PVC is cheap and sterile and won't mold or cause problems either
