Hi guys can you veg in coco and then transfer to rdwc system?

Yes you can just simply stick it in a bucket of water to get all the Coco Off The Roots. Although it might be quite traumatizing for it.

They also make a specific insert you can put into your net pot (made by current culture) that is supposed to keep the coco in the net pot, just figured I'd point that out... haven't seen anyone running coco in their dwc though.
If you were to go that route I'd highly suggest emailing with cch2o on logistics for that.

I do it all the time. Use these from Current Culture and they fit exactly into the 8"net pot.

I dont know how easy it will be getting the roots and the coco untangled...
If you gonna do it i would go with the inserts and not disturb the coco root ball...

I'm a soil grower. Experimented with coco last grow. Started clone in soil through veg.
Transplanted before flower to 30 gallon pot. Roots did great till week 5. At that point dropped ph 6.0 to ph 5.5. She poped right back preutty quick. Overall the outcome was better then I expected at harvest.

Ya coco has a lil learning curve to it, can be hair pulling!

Are you starting from seed? You can get get coco collar inserts for an aeroclonor like an EZ clonor and then just transfer those to your UC pots like any other clone. With the collar on top of the crown and the fact you never fill the water that high, it won't get soaked.

I'm about to try them for the first time haha. I figure if EZ cloner sells them for EZ cloners they have to work.
