Hey all.

I was wonder what you guys and gals thought about a weekly feed flush in coco? I know salt buildup is an issue for us coco growers. Especially if the coco drys out. I’m on an auto feed system for one minute, twice a day. Which gives me plenty of run off. Do you think it would be beneficial to feed flush the coco for about 3 minutes with the fresh nutrient solution at the beginning of each week? Just to do kind of a mini flush. Or do you think that would just be a waste? I am still planning to do a full flush at flip, and before harvest. Just my curious wonderings...

I would recommend a weekly "tea" of some sort of beneficial bacteria. It will keep the healthy microbial life thriving and will act as a "flush"

I am automated and weekly I hand feed 15ml/gal Botanicare pure blend tea and 1/4 tsp +LIFE from hydroponic research.
That way I get my mini flush
I get my bennies
And I hand feed it so I inspect all my plants while doing so.
No need for brewing what I use but you can brew a tea if you want

Do you think a weekly shot of Roots Organic Extreme Serene would be beneficial? In the context were speaking.

I'm not familiar with that product. Leme google it. Lol

But while I do IMO if it's a Bennie of some sort it would serve the same purpose. I just use what I use because it's easy and I have heard great things about the +LIFE and so far I LOVE it. And so do the girls. And a 20$ jar @ 1/4 tsp a week will last plenty long.

At least once a week I do a just water which is some combination of cal mag+,microbes enzyme and carb usually not all of them and I try to get a lil more runoff than the regular feedings.

Ya that RO extreme serene is a kelp extract not a Bennie. Also it's 10-2-1 or something but 10 is alotnof N especially for a "flush" day. But it says it's a great foliar application. I would want some kind of beneficial.

Look into the +LIFE. 20$ is all ya need. Or even brew a compost tea. There are many recipes super cheap and easy.
It's not absolutely necessary but IMO it is. Lol

Cool, thanks. I wasn’t sure about that stuff. Had a bottle given to me. I am going to look into the +LIFE. I’ve heard good things.

Definitely. And only get the small 20$ jar. Unless you have a huge Grow you probably won't even use all of the small one. It's live bacteria so I wouldn't let it sit for years. The small one is more than enough and only 20$. They ship quick.

Is this stuff different than the Mykos stuff I use at transplant.

Ya I haven't tried it but I hear it's good stuff. It's an inoculate that's what you want. Promote root health.
