These plants are survivors from the intense daily neem treatments plus heat treatments plus avid one time plus forbid one time. They are the only survivors out of 6 of my genetics.

5 days ago they were also treated with Sanmite Miticide, the entire plant was dunked in the solution ..

Sanmite miticide targets Broad Mites and is to be used once within 6 weeks. So if I let them veg for 2 more months I can treat them once more (instructions say no more than two treatments for life of plant).

So far the Sanmite has been extremely effective. No new signs of infection and new green lush growth. Good signs.

Regardless, the Avid/Forbid still has a 28 days duration, if used as recommended, and if used so close together with both, the 1s that survive can potentially give the mites immunity from both chemicals.

I would also use the Avid/Floramite with a Horticultural Oil.

Ultra-Pure Oil Horticultural Insecticide, Miticide and Fungicide

Again Jmaes Mabley you are referring to re application of the SAME miticide such as using Avid on day 1 and avid again on day 15 which should never be done. Breeding supermites via reapplication of the same miticide repeatedly within a timeframe is what you are referring to if I am reading what you are typing correctly, and thats not happening here; yet I do agree that this is a priority to not breed super bugs by repeated use of same miticides within a timeframe.

Also the days of duration the miticide works has nothing to do with the modes of applications best time of use as instructed on the labels. I could attach those for you so you can read them if you want. There on the labels online pdf

Also Broad Mites are not Spider Mites they have a different breeding cycle which needs to be understood first if you want to eradicate them. I think you have good intentions just not on point or relevant to anything that is being done in my attack strategy here and thanks for you comment about using horticultural oils plus miticides that is a good strategy for killing Broad Mites its listed as effective on many research articles!

I saw this coming. I'd clone the new fresh growth and trash the rest and clean up really good, but that's just me. Happy Growing
Thats not bad advice even tho I can't see your negativity clearly lol

Pictures from yesterday
These plants have been hit with the following:
Avid one time day 1
Neem oil for 2 days
Forbid one time day 5
Neem oil for 2 days
Sanmite via submerging entire plant in solution one time day 12
And the day of these pictures is 7 days after Sanmite treatment which would make yesterday day 19

From my own observations I've seen a drastic improvement on strength of the plants, as well as new growth vigor. I've also seen no signs of new infection no curling of leaves although I am still assuming there is an active infestation present. When the Broad Mites were actively breeding and attacking the plants there was little to no new growth, they would target the fresh new growth and it would come out twisted and deformed. The older fan leaves would become leather like a darker color possibly from the continual injection of the BMs toxic saliva.

The new green growth coming out in the last week is a complete 360 turnaround from what they were a month ago. They basically stopped growing while under attack, weak brittle branches and lifeless leaves. Possibly from the BMs sucking life out of plant.

I've thrown away all my larger plants and an entire 4 light room full of trellised large plants just to help reduce the amount of foliage for these suckers to feed off of. To me my only concern going forward was to save my genetics:
Wifi Og Pinapple Cut
Alien Rock Candy Kinds Cut
GMO
Sunset Sherb

I already lost my Wedding Cake, Papaya Cake, Kryptonite, Platinum Cookies, Venom OG and Zkittles plus 6 months of vegetative growth so theres been serious losses in this fight IMHO I may be starting to turn the tide.

I'll keep posting to share with you my attack strategy, today I plan on using a product called Triact 70 which has a mode of action that targets both Adult Broad Mites as well as eggs. Its active ingredient is made from a neem oil extract. I found the best info on which miticides and oils work best for attacking Broad Mite adults and or eggs from this research article
http://www.tnstate.edu/extension/documents/Broad Mites - TSUNRC Fact Sheet-1.pdf

Triact, Avid, Forbid and Sanmite are all listed

That tent and trays are due for a good bleaching. And I will clone all this stuff as a precaution. You see the blue dixie cups? Those were clones I took a month ago from my large plants. I did not dip them in any miticide like avid or forbid tho so I believe I will do that this time to add an extra layer of defense, just letting everything run its course now and thanks for the reminder to bleach everything I am due.

And to the OP, as Im coming in late in the thread, what were the lesson/s learned here? You were quick to blame the ass clown and his infested clones. But at the end of the day when taking in someone elses clones did you do any of the upfront work and dip , soil drench and quarantined said clones? If the answer is no to the above, I would hope you learned a valuable lesson with this battle. Prevention is paramount!!!!! IPM baby. It starts at the beginning and will save you $$$$, crops and a lot of unneeded stress. :D Sending good IPM karma your way man. It seems to be a pita but no where near what not having a ipm is.

For sure IPM is paramount to happy plants and prevention is always better! In my first post I mentioned I hope others learn from my mistakes and that this thread would be a how to fight broad mites if one was so foolish like me to not quarantine incoming clones. Thanks for the good vibes

So one day after using the pylon foggers Ive taken 30 or so fresh cuttings of my wifi og and alien rock candy. Soaking them in tap water at 5.5 ph overnight. Theyll be dipped in forbid tomorrow then placed in an aerocloner in a separate tent which has also been bleached and fogged.

Wish me luck guys got whitefire og in the black and alien rock candy in the blue
I dunked them in an avid/forbid mix then with a razor cut a new section off bottom of stem
Hopefully these guys never get reinfected with Broads. I plan to rotate 5 different miticides in my IPM strategy for these guys future veg time
