If you may have remembered my postings from a while ago. I thank those who helped me. I do have an updated picture. Before I show you, I must forewarn you all that what I’m abiut to show you is a big no no in the cultivating world so yes....I already know. It’s just that we already wasted money on

Acapulco Gold
Berry Bomb
Strawberry Sour Diesel
Afghan Kush

So we planted 2 random seeds to kinds get the hang of growing. But upon doing research I found something that is opposite of what I’m about to show. It states sativa is supposed to be taller than indica but you’ll see the irony in that statement. Also.....check out the indica...how much longer til it’s mature and ready to harvest?

And yes it’s a female sativa mixed with male indica. Didn’t find out about the pollen til too late but...it was free random seeds so lesson learned.

You’re comparing a fully flowered plant to one still in veg and making assumptions off that? Interesting.

See that’s the thing. I’m getting multiple responses. Both started veg at the same time. The indica shot up past the sativa and sativa was planted maybe a month prior. I don’t think the sativa is gonna grow anymore. It’s starting to bud. Although the buds are small. I imagine it’s getting more buds below than showing on top

As stated before, this is trial and error. Sativa stopped growing out of the blue. So I was told it may be time to switch to veg. So I did. And she is slowly. Very slowly starting to bud.

Both of those plants are hybrids. They have a mix of genetics.

Even if you plant 2 of the same seeds from the same pack you may see a huge difference.

That’s understandable. If it doesn’t cost much, I may go get it tested. I just know the indica and sativa are male and female. They look horrible i know lol. The sativa we had to revive from extreme case of overwatering. Sativa has to save from root bound etc. too small of a pot. I see everyone’s plants and they look amazing so this was a trial and error. Similar to a novice eh just learned to cook, making a dish. May taste good but presentation lacking.

I think you should do some reading in the forums good sir. Feel free to Hit up the ol search bar. You seem to be a little off base about almost everything you are saying. I’m not trying to insult you, but many people for many decades before you or I started growing did lifetimes of research and most of its online. We don’t have to do weird ass experiments and learn everything the hard way.

Your time could be short here. I’ve reviewed all your posts. This is a warning!

  1. Flaming/Trolling: Flames are posts intended to insult and provoke. Posters who speak incessantly and/or rabidly on some relatively uninteresting subject or with a patently ridiculous attitude will be banned. Repeated posts directed with hostility at a particular person or group of people or their beliefs will be cause for banning. Any individual who chronically trolls, who regularly posts arguments, flames or personal attacks for no other purpose than to annoy someone or disrupt a discussion will be banned. Trolls are recognizable by the fact that they have no real interest in learning about the topic at hand - they simply want to utter flame bait.

Sir, I’m not sure what you speak of but the 3 posts I put up were for information. The reason I came here is because not every piece of information online is correct. So when you say do research. I am trying but I also would like real live responses from people who are currently doing it. For instance, in the above comment where I said I lost my strawberry sour diesel seed, berry bomb, Acapulco gold and afghan kush. It’s bexause this guy said he put his seed in a cup of water. Well I did that. And none of them came out to anything. These 2 plants you see, I dropped the seed in soil and they worked. I lost some money with those seeds so everything I do now is to avoid it. This is nowhere near trying to troll or start an argument. It’s for learning purposes.

My other post about my leaf I was told it ma be thrips or powdery mildew. Well...I purchased some oil. I can’t remember the name of the oil but it smells horrible. Anyway it was oil that was recommended. So I am taking everyone’s advice. I live in dc so growing weed is legal so I took the liberty to go to grow clubs and ask about the leaf and what to do and they said I could leave it as it was an old leaf or take it off as it takes nutrients from other leafs. Either way it wasn’t detrimental. Problem is...grow clubs aren’t 24/7 and they don’t have a number for information. That’s why I came to you guys.

To say this is a warning is disheartening because I never came here to argue nor get people riled up. I’m ambitious but I am also a novice that has a little bit of difficulty trying to express what I want to get across because I’m actively learning. I was hoping I could get patience. If you don’t believe me, GOOGLE male indica mature plant. Absolutely no pic that shows how my indica plant is supposed to look when it comes to maturing. So again that’s why I come to you because not everything is available and not everything is correct. I didn’t insult anyone other than myself in which I spoke about how MY plant look. I even took the liberty to say others looked amazing. I’m not hostile, never tried to provoke, argue or spew personal attacks. If you want to remove me for making 3, not many but 3 posts about learning, then that’s disheartening. From what I posted I took almost every bit of advice from each one and applied it. What more can I do? I simply came here because the research I was told to do, I did. And it said sativa plants are typically bigger than indica and as you can see it’s not the case. I don’t know about hybrids. So all of this is like taking a 4 year old to Disney World. It’s a lot to take in. So sorry if you felt I was flame/trolling.

Ok I understand that. Check out this picture. When I posted about my leaf, I was told possible thrips/powdery mildew. If I had no interest in learning, then why did I not only go buy a meter, but soil tester, upgraded my fabric pots and get the neem oil that was suggested? Seems like I took in just about all the information that was given to me and applied it to my plant. As for this convo. I was just trying to understand why my indica plant was bigger than sativa. When research showed the opposite. Someone mentioned hybrid plants. That, I didn’t know of. So that answers my question. But I still was curious as to what stage my pant was because as I stated, when I googled indica male mature plant, it doesn’t give me any good picture of what one looks like that I can compare. So hence why I came to you guys. To learn.

A little background info. My gf has a traumatic back injury. She is on disability. To prevent her from spending boatloads to self medicate, I’m trying to help her eliminate the need for dispensaries. So when I posted, it’s bexsuse this is as close as she ever got to being able to get her own stuff. We couldn’t afford to go back to seedlings. That’s also why she didn’t mind a male and female being in the same tent. Because something was better than nothing. So yes despite what you think, I’m learning and I learned a lot already. I just don’t want you or anyone else to feel this is trolling. Like I said this is her one shot to get something for the time invested. The sativa was started in September and indica stared in October. So it’s a long time coming but we’re just starting so any little thing we look towards professionals. Hence why I went and purchased what I could based off your recommendations.

Ok first are you 100% sure you did not mix the labels?
Also hybrids are possible to lean either way.
Are you saying the taller one is a male ? I can’t see nothing in those pics
If you got a male in there you’re not gonna get no amounts of bud. I had a hermie that was sneaky and kept looking like mutated buds. I isolated it n let it rock. At end it looked almost like a ton of male cluster forming colas with pistils. Idk. I qwiso that thing. The qwiso came out Like a yellow n stunk a little like pollen. But.
Got i to say that chit works damn good n melts to an amber liquid on top a bowl too.

I'm trying to understand what your objective is.
If that tall plant is all anther-ed out on the top, then any female flower will get pollinated.
It also looks like that tall one is the sativa.
And that small one is too small to flower and get a useful yield.

As for the administrative "warning", if your defense is accurate then don't worry. I'll bet that response was just a cut and paste response to some misunderstanding.

As to germinating seeds. Your story is exactly why I don't soak seeds. Seeds can show great variety in their ability to take up water, and they will often drown. Damp folded paper towels protected from drying and kept warm will produce sprouts. I like to transfer to 1/4 nutrient soil soon after any root shows.

I'd:
kill that male
maybe re-veg the small plant and let it grow bigger before flowering.

Good luck.

If that big plant is a male that’s fairly impressive.

Imo soaking seeds in water is a waste of time and the extra handling is unnecessary and just provides an extra opportunity to ruin them.

Just take some paper towel, get it wet, then squeeze out the excess water as if you were going to use it to wipe your ass after an extra creamy shit and put your seeds in it and place it in a ziplock bag and put it some place warm (80+ degrees) and wait. Check on them after 24 hours.

I paint quite a picture don’t I? It was the easiest analogy I could think of. It’s not like we haven’t all been there. Some of us as recently as they were typing it.

It’s not a bad analogy if you think about it. You want the paper towel damp but not sopping wet. Otherwise you’d have a whole nother set of problems.

Its sadly the perfect description. ;-)

Just to add another variance to the method. My breeder told me to use coffee filters in the open baggie.

Works better. Doesn't get wet and soggy or ever stick to tap roots.

But 80 degrees may dry one out a bit faster. I keep the propogator in the mid 70’s.

I dont have a colorful analogy on how to wet them. Lol. Just run under water and shake off and they are perfect.

Wait a minute! Shake off sounds like after peeing!

I follow the wetting of the paper towel for the extra creamy shit wipe. My question is, I'm on septic so I cant flush it down the toilet. It would be kind of gross to leave it in the trash, I guess I could put it in my pocket. Any suggestions?
