The clone was probably getting 18 or 24 hr light when you bought it and you say you have a "shop light", so perhaps she isn't getting sufficient light during her indoor hours, and she flipped to flower. Even if you do have a good light, the change from 24 to 14 would be huge. Some strains are more sensitive to the hour change then others. She'll flip back to veg in a few weeks. Hopefully they'll recover and take off once they revert back. She looks nice and healthy.

so I guess I should just go with the flow a and do you think it has a good chance of flipping back or should I get a new clone
also the shop were I got them said they were under 14 hrs of light but they might not relly know
o yea eny chance its a auto flower trhx again

Yep, it looks like it is starting to flower. The new growing leaf tips can sometimes look like the white hairs of flowers, but you can usually see the two white hairs that make a "V" on joints and nodes, as well as the growing tips. These white hairs are usually what makes up the red hairs you see in buds. Depending on what you plan on doing with the plant during the upcoming season, you could either keep it flowering, although the yield would be pretty small, or revert it back to regular vegetative growth and let it flower later in the season.
At 14 hours of light, you will probably stay in flowering mode, although anything longer could cause it to try to re-veg... reverting to regular growth. Light periods of 18 hours are generally used to insure veg growth, and 12-13 hours will usually start or keep it flowering.

ok with that being said and living in ca. I am not sure how much day light we get on the longest day of the year .but I don't think its 18 hours so at some point will nature just happen and it will go back to veg growth. and what is the time frame for this to happen I just don't want to lose to much growing time. should I just get a new clone.i need to put my plants outside in there perment spot on june 1st about 20 days from the longest day of the year. thank you

You should probably have had them planted already, unless the weather prevented it. Planting now, outdoors, will cause the plant to revert to veg growth, but it might take it up to 2 weeks to revert. Depending on the strain that you plant, there might not be enough time for the plant to finish flowering in the fall. At my location, plants would be going into the ground now that frost is past. We don't get 18 hours of daylight here either, but plants seem to do well if planted in late April, although most don't fully finish around here (Cleveland area). I would get them in the ground unless you wanted to run them under 18 hrs, get them quickly into veg mode, then plant outside... it might revert quicker under 18/6 and save you time.

I just saw that the plant was an autoflower. Please disregard most of what I said. Auto plants will flower regardless of photoperiod and I don't think this one will revert successfully/easily. You would possibly be better off to get new clones, which should grow fully in the summer season. Auto's are a different matter than regular plants... they flower regardless of photoperiod, which makes them good for short season grows.

yes I want to get them in the ground right now we r going thru some heavy late spring rain after this storm passes I will plant.
also my local grow shop told me I can give them a high dose of grow big to kinda knock them off the bud cycle

hi as far as I know its NOT a auto flower.
I apologize for misreading the earlier post. I've never used anything to initiate veg growth or flowering, so I can't advise on what the local grow shop recommended, although the sooner they get put under long light, 18 hrs indoors if possible, until you can plant them. You don't need a overly bright light to influence veg/flowering, so your shop light should suffice until you get them outside.

ok than 2 led shop lights ea putting 4000 lumins for 18 hours until they go outside
sounds like a good plan thanks alot
If you wanted to keep running them inside and out during daylight, that would probably be good, then moving them back inside when it begins to get dark. That way they will get the better sunlight during the day, and still get enough from the shop lights until you are ready to go totally outside. The important thing is that they get a lot of longer period light, with 18 hrs being the general rule. Either way that you want to do it will work for getting back to veg mode and on your way.

I'm down in San Diego area and started a few end of Feb to get a jump on the season. I've always treated cannabis as an annual, planting in spring, harvesting in fall. I haven't grown indoors in decades and used metal halide, fan, humidifier and the AC blasting 24/7. Cost me a small fortune. So this year I start way early and now all four, 3 females 1 male, are 3+ weeks into flower. I assume they'll finish in a month and a half regardless if we get sunny days in the next few weeks. Buy some more and get them in the ground within the next few weeks, weather permitting as June should be much better. To get your clones to revert you'll have to give them a lot of artificial light and a shop light won't do it. This year I bought 6 led bulbs and a couple of cfl's (not grow lights) for cloning but I can not grow under them. While I wanted 12-15' plants I'm really looking forward to summer home grown. Let those flower outside and enjoy what they produce while waiting for your new ones to finish.

Not sure the reason your plants are in bloom, but in Northern California we’re getting to our maximum sunlight, which even at the summer solstice will be just shy of 15 hours per day. Many who do grow outdoors get their plants veg’d indoors or under artificial lighting so when they do go outside, they can make the most of the sunlight.
Nonetheless without setting up a grow tent with sufficient lighting, you’ll be bound to what the length of daylight your plant interprets from its environment.
As far as the dispensary where you got your clones, that’s a crapshoot as far as what you bought an what they thought it was. The only way to be sure is pop your own seeds, you cut out most of the bs that way.
Good luck with this grow, just document what you did and what was the result, then you can judge for yourself going forward what to do differently next grow.
Check out a few grow diaries for what others have done and their results.

I think you'll be better off getting a new clone in a week or so. I'm also in Nor Cal and normally do OK with store clones going directly outside right around now. But you were ~ 6-7 weeks early and why your plant started flowering. I had a buddy who got his grow ripped off one year, and bought clones in early July to start over. It was really surprising how quickly they caught up and he had a decent grow. Starting too early with dispensary clones is a common mistake as everyone wants to get going and figures an early start will results in larger plants. But they almost always start to flower, revert to veg, and end up as little squatting weird things. Spend another $15 and you'll be better off come October.
