Hey out there everyone! So I just switched to flower, and I wanted to see what terpene enhancer/bud denser or PK booster is your favorite? I have used True Signal 0-0-3.1 in the with mixed results, and would really like to maximize the effectiveness of what I am adding. Maybe something with a 0-1-3 ratio, like 0-7-21 or something close to it? Please. Discuss....

My bloom booster is simply monopotassium phosphate and mag sulfate. In hydro I use it weeks 3-6 then drop the monopotassium phosphate and keep on the mag sulfate

Yes check out some of my other threads. I have a grow journal there too. Have always had good if not great yields

I have 3 plants that went for 2 months veg while I was taking clones and popping beans to fill my space, so I schwazzed one and heavy defoliation on the other two but not quite enough to be a schwazz. They are all the same strain so I left them at different stages of defoliation all the way to the schwazzed one, I will take some pics tomorrow, as I just flipped today and my lights are off

Try Pennington Alaska Kelp the last 2-3 weeks of flower. It has growth hormones and seems to cause the bus to dense/harden. I bought it thinking it would be good for veg. But, it seems to cause weird stretch. Probably because of the growth hormones. I used it in flower and it seemed to cause the buds to be denser. I've read others say they've noticed the same thing.

I don't think boosting P&K do much. I've read K & Mg have more effect. Sulfer's good for terpenes (you get all that from langbeinite. But, you can use potassium sulfate & magnesium sulfate. Together those have a lot of sulfur.).

I heard that kelp has growth hormones... let me ask, how does t affect flavor and overall potency? Being natural, I am sure it is minimal, just want your opinion. Edit:Also upon doing some research I realized I used their fish fertilizer to start my veggies this year. My old lady picked it up at home depot. I gotta say it did they job exceedingly well.

Yes, I like Pennington Alaska Fish Emulsion. I use it occasionally from veg to harvest to feed the soil microbes. I think it keeps my light soil healthier than not using it.

Regarding AK Kelp as a bud hardener. I didn't notice any flavor/potency issues. There is another thread on this forum about it. I found it when I was recommending kelp to someone else a few weeks ago. https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/alaska-brand-pure-kelp-during-flower.91334/

The growth hormones seem to cause the same veg stretch (I noticed in veg) in the buds. By that point, the plant's focusing all it's growth on the buds. So, suddenly it "stretches" the buds. That's my interpretation. It's like what I felt I saw happen in veg (weird stretch), but concentrated in the bud.

It’s been super hot in NM (summer, duh) and my buds were feeling fluffy. This Big Up is applied 3 times during flower...I just did treatment #2 a few days ago. Very happy with it so far...buds are getting harder by the day.

Thanks man. I think that, with your help I have come to the decision to give it a try. I am reading good things, and your advice is usually solid if memory serves me correctly. I appreciate you taking the time

Also, has anyone used gravitation 10 or hear anything about it? Curious what makes round 10 tick. Used G1, which was their original bud denser on an outdoor in Cali a decade or more ago, and I remembered they recalled it for having some sort of chemical in it, but I will be damned if overnight branches werent snapping in half due to the weight! LOL! But apparently they are on recipe #10 now, maybe it cleaned up?

I am using roots organic bloom tea, so my phospherous count would be off the charts. I would give it a shot if I had a different feeding schedule.

i think there is something to running a booster only during flower. ive done the multi bottle systems and never got where i wanted to be. my goal this round is to do as little as absolutely possible while having as close to 100% healthy leaves as possible. i ran a 1-1-1 for veg and they did outstanding (thats all ill ever do now), but i can tell its not enough punch for flower based on plants reaction since flip and it seemed to contribute to stretch. i recently added half strength flower fuel 1-34-32 and will just give water until the following week. happy frog soil. i'll report back in a couple weeks

I have come to the decision to give it a try.

I would encourage you to try langbeinite too. I.e., boost K, Mg & S (leave P out of it) in late flower.

Example:
2 Tbps/gal AK Kelp = 84-92 ppm. (K=40-48ppm; N=10; Mg = 5; Ca=15 [a good ratio Ca:Mg for veg]; S=2. ).
1g/gal Dr. Earth Langbeinite = 139-149 ppm. (K=48-58ppm; Mg=29; S=58).

Cut your base nutes a little to accommodate 100ppm; alternate between those two. Or, cut the base nutes enough for 200ppm; feed the above together.

I've used langbeinite randomly in flower. Definitely the kelp makes a difference in late flower. But, boosting K, Mg & S too should help. (I think it's the growth hormones that make kelp good. But, others say K & Mg make a difference. That would be a way to get both. As long as you cut the base nutrients it wont fry the plants (like typical PK boosters can).

I will be making my own teas from scratch after this run, so I will have no need for powders, but have used this in the past. The results were fair to Midland, but I have a bad habt of overfeeding powders. I just had to piece things together due to small budget lol, my room looks like a disaster atm. Clean, but not neat. oh well, I have it all fixed up a purty in december.

Solid, dude. This is actually exactly what I had hoped for. Thanks for breaking the numbers down too, that shit makes my brain hurt sometimes. Thanks again for being the hammer that hit the nail on the head!
