Time for new snips. I was using friskers titanium. They work great except the tips dulled real soon. Yes, I alcohol them after every session.
There are so many put there, Amazon and eBay...... what do you all recommend?

You don't use the type with the spring? Doesn't your hand cramp up, guess not.

I have those too. I like the ones i posted better for trimming. I use the spring ones for cloning. Easier to get in tight places.

I also use a pair of hair cutting scissors for trimming sometimes. Mrs. Mmg is a cosmetologist so we have some hair scissors of different shapes and sizes around.

When you say cloning, (being a first year grower I am learning the terms). You mean cutting the sections you are going to clone..... this is what I am doing, getting rid of the fan leaves and the small ones that grow up around the clones... correct. Isn't this called trimming?

I fell in love with a pair of scissors that came in a suture removal kit from the Drs office. Every week I get a new pair for treatment of leg issues and they are great! The tip is vey sharp and pointed, making it perfect for getting into tight spaces and nipping off just the areas that are desired. They are pretty cheap, but sharp and pointed.

Gotta love the insurance and health business. They charge you (your insurance company) every week for a perfectly good pair of scissors. What a system. Lol.

Sorry. Back to the regularly scheduled scissor thread. :-)

Oh I have some of those. Curtesy of being a nurse. Be
I’ve it or not, once they open a auteurs set and use it, they do not sterilize them and re use them anymore. They throw them away. What a waste. I shall try those and see if my hand doesn't cramp. Thanks

Chikamasa

I just checked these out. The weed users praise them. A coated to make them resin resistant and sharp enough to snip your skin!

They just last. I've had my first pair going on 3 years almost now. Stainless and carbon steel ones. Just make sure to get a scissor sharpener. You can get a Fiskar one off amazon for like 7 bucks if you want a cheap one. For trimming tho spring loaded ones. Everything in the rooms Chikamasa.

Darn it. I didn't even think of the sharpener. Ordered two of the scissors, with the resin resistant, fluorine coated. Could not decide on the spring loaded or not. Decided not this time. But I did get the cleaner that you just put the scissors into.
