Need advice on a next veg cycle. Plants were too small in 4x4 cubes before flower

I’m about to take clones for my next veg cycle. The first grow in my hydro setup I did 4x4x4 rw cubes after my clones rooted in aerocloner. My problem was they were not big enough to go right into the flower room which is ebb and flow bucket system. I was looking for a better idea to get the plants bigger before moving them into flower with out the roots growing all over my ebb and flow table. I like to flip the plants around 18” tall. I have a 4x4 ebb and flow table for veg

When I was growing in buckets I just moved the whole bucket with plant into the flower room from the veg room.

I believe that would mean I would need more grow bags and hydroton for them also. Sounds like a lot more work but it would allow me bigger plants.

6in cubes. How long was your veg time? If rocking DWC you might wanna get some advice from someone more experienced in that dept. All DWC things I did where in DWC buckets veg and flower. I know you can run into problems with the cubes holding water and stem rot when using cubes transplanted into buckets. Not sure of the tricks since i never did it that way.

I am using an oxygen pot system. I have a 4x4 ebb table to veg and the roots were growing all over the place in the tray. Is there a way to maybe put the rw cube into a net pot with hydroton and then maybe put the net pot into the grow bag in the oxygen pot system?
