So I have been having trouble with root growth on my rdwc system, I recently flushed and cleaned my res, new batch of nutes and added 1/2 of the reccomened dose of voodoo juice from AN.
After 3 days I now have this on my roots! Should I be concerned, does not seem right at all. Any info/help would be amazing thank you
Ph 5.5-6 water temp 21c or 70F. 1000ppm

Ouch....

Lets see if i can help. If i can't others can.

The first thing i notice is your temp. 65 or so retards the growth of the bad guys.
Have you tried something like Hydroguard (can be found on Amazon) and or a product called PlusLife (+Life) which can be purchased here. https://hydroponic-research.com/product/life/

Both of these kill off and break down the bag bugs and the root slough off (active micro-bacteria use it as food). The actual cycle of both of this is actually quite a bit more detailed. Please make sure you read all you can about beneficial bacteria, etc.

I have had very good luck with the RR issue.. Here are a couple of photos from my current grow.

I'll keep watching; good luck

No one in my area sells hydro gaurd, I have cleaned and rinsed everything with h202. Then ph balanced ro water, their was no issue until I added voodoo juice to my nutes. Now 3 days later I have this clear jell on all of my roots and bottom of the pots! I just adjusted my water chiller down to 65F from 70.5F

Yea I’ll have to order some! I just am curious to know Excally what is on my roots or this is, because I cannot seem to find any INFO ANYWHERE! The roots are not brown or rotting. This just came about in the matter of 3 days

Hopefully Aqua Man will see this post and offer up his wisdom. Whatever he says, you can pretty much take it to the bank. I do 🍻 😃 I am still much, much too green to be diagnosing other people issues beyond what i have personal experienced.

Rinsed all the pots, gave my 4, 5 gallon bucks a good 20ml shot of h202 for the night and ordered some hydro gaurd. Hopefully it will be here in the next couple days and I’ll post and update along with pics
