Hello,

I am at an apprentice level of growing and i would like to get the feedback from pros who have quite an experience in this field.

I recently started reading about nutrients and generally gathering information about feeding the plant. Since there are a lot of companies that provide the nutrients i would like to know which one of the is the best in this industry. Price does not matter as long as the value and quality is there so advice me the absolute best.

I am confused which ones to buy and use for my soil-less set up, i do not even know which is the best coco providing company at the moment so i would like to know how you see this subject form a perspective of experienced grower.

I see a lot of people using Advanced Nutrients with 50+ of their products, i saw Terpinator and Mammoth Microbes, real growers - recharge, house&garden products, Greenleaf nutrients, Shogun and other such products being used, i want to know about absolute best for my coco set up, as i want to feed the plant perfectly through each stage of it's life.

Thank you

No pro here but simply put a quality complete nutrient start to finish and just adjust strength for stage of growth. Ditch the idea of bloom nutes ratios and all the added garbage.

I prefer mega crop which is close to the ratio I like of 2-1-3.

GH trio in equal parts, jacks, pure blend pro grow nute, AN and the list goes on and on.

There is no magic nutrient and many variables that can lead people to prefer one over the other. Get a complete grow nute and use it start to finish that's what I recommend.

Then you can try tweeking with additives. Without a base grow you have no means to compare if they are actually helping or hurting your grow. Imo most new growers do way more harm than good doing so.

Just my opinion.

I grow in coco and I use masterblend. It’s a 3-part dry nutrient line. Lasts a very long time too. I’ve added mono potassium phosphate 1-2 times per week as a bloom booster. Getting rock hard buds, some the size of pop cans. I have good lighting too so it’s probably a culmination of coco coir, feed frequency, lighting, and nutrient line.

I recommended both of these products earlier today, they're both great, good luck new grower!

I've read a lot of good stuff about mega crop being amazing for veg.

That's what i was asking that i need to put the correct feeding plan( veg base + additives, bloom base + additives) and i wanted to find the perfect parts for each phase.

That's a great thing, i've looked it up and saw a lot of nutrients both commercial and indoor growth so i didn't know which one was it, can you specify the ones that you use?

Personally I don't feel there is any need for bloom nutes. Most cut nitrogen to fast when the plant needs it's most. Especially in soiless because you can just lower the feed the last couple weeks of flower to achieve what bloom nutes try to do but imo most don't wrong. There is a big difference between soil and soiless in these terms. I use mega crop start to finish in my hydro. Honestly you can be successful with any of the nutrients that have been recommended in this thread. They are all good options.

save your money and time and don't buy bloom nutes or "boosters". Above suggestions are solid. I would stay away from stuff like Advanced and H&G.
thanks for the warning about H&G and AN, can you tell me why people say "stay away from bloom nutes"? are they actually such a waste of money?

There’s a couple of us in here that use this. If you buy it, message me and I’ll send you my application formula.
thanks for recommendation, haven't heard about masterblend and the pop can buds got me intrigued.

I've been using general hydroponics trio series for like 20 years now. I can't see me using anything else for hydro.

Absolute best is very subjective. For the most part, they are all using the same formulas with very minor variations. Not enough variation to justify calling one better than the other.

I use GH cause I always have. But I'm sure any of the bigger brand names are great.
Advanced nutrients, fox farms, general hydroponics. You cant go wrong with any of them.

I honestly dont think spending more on nutrients is going to translate in to more or better product. That is the growers skill and environment.

Thanks for the advice, i am slowly coming to the same conclusion that weed is just a plant and nothing really special about the nutrients that will make it go crazy on it's own.

From what i've read on this thread, i think general vegetable nutrients beat the "weed specific" nutrients to the pulp. My fancy expensive nutrient hunt is calming down and slowly i think more focus needs to be driven towards creating perfect environment. Thanks for the great pictures.

That was exactly my point good sir, that you can grow weed with pretty much anything. Sure there are specific, pricey nutrients available in bottle after flashy bottle, but a lot of us started this before those products existed , we use Peters back then pretty much, at least I did

Today Peter's product called Jack's 3-2-1 is still a good choice, another good choice especially for a new grower would be megacrop because you apply it by pH and PPM, not by NPK ratio, that parts all done for you, and it's a good company to deal with too

Here's a link to that Spike grow, I'm not recommending those btw, if you read the thread you'll see why LOL good luck
