The truth is most people will grow their own without any knowledge and then sell their family and friends moldy weed.

I see that here every season.

I think everyone should be allowed to grow. But I sure dont think most people should.
Not here so far..(I never sell anyway and freely give anything my friends or family want.) It seems that many illegal growers have packed up their bags and left. I would respectfully disagree, and believe that anyone that desires good product and the fun of it all should give it a shot. I had the worst brown thumb in the world and could kill a cactus, until I began studying. TBH, I figured that I would blow $1k on my 1st attempt, and if I failed I would try again. If I failed 2x, I would have to have re-thought growing and buying medicine locally and legally again. (would not have been able to afford that on a fixed income).

As LUCK would have it, I did ok and only go back for others. or to buy a strain to sample before buying seeds.

Luckily there has been very little negative publicity since we went legal in 2016. No LE heat so far..:)

Yet somehow we survived the days of Mexican brick weed. I can't even imagine what impurities we smoked back then and, we liked it. 😂

Tried smokin someone’s “mid grade” they call it here, at a party and shit couldn’t catch anything if you smoked a entire joint itself! I couldn’t believe someone actually paid money for it! So somehow it’s still here ! I used to find everything from bugs to tree branches to trash ! Even bought lots! And I mean lots of moldy pot that we would all throw away today!
Glad I’ve been out that game for bout 25 years.
Keep on growin!

I don’t live there any more but I have family and friends doing exactly what you described! All kinds of inventive ways to “give” weed away! Lol

I agree I never realised how much weed contains mold until i had my own mold problem and had to throw 4 ounces out then all my other weed that may or may not have been affected look pretty much the same as the moldy weed. Am now very scepticle when given weed from friends to smoke. I now dont smoke outdoor weed for this reason

I have always had great hook ups for weed. Until i got to west michigan. The med card thing had taken hold and everyone and their grandma was a caregiver.

After a while i started caughing up black shit. Never did that before even with tobacco. It was piorly dried moldy weed. Ever since i smoke my own no more black gook in my lungs.

Mrs. Mmg had to go to the hospital for her mold allergy.

Legal weed brings greed and need. I have seen quite a few caregivers lose their homes failing at growing weed they expected to sell.

TY..That reminds me of something (I know, I know, I promised..LOL)..I have an older cousin living close by (yep..someone is actually older than I am.:))and he asked if he could have some more flower after he ran out (last shot was an oz..LAST YR!). I asked how much he wanted and he said an oz..My reply was sheeet, I thought you were gonna ask for a pound! LMFAO

I won't even touch how little of the tincture he used.:)

I started smoking four years ago but within 6 months I bought, convinced, and unintentionally made my wife and grandmother suffer from cheap moldy weed. My first grow gave up 6oz to mold but I'll never 'give' anyone weed that I don't religiously smoke myself. MO has legalized medical and they fear the black market surging due to home growers but I fear corporate sloppiness more.

I'm supposed to be doing undisclosed work for a cultivation facility soon and I've had to sit in on investor meetings and argue because they are out of touch. We've argued lighting, basic horticulture, processing, etc because they want to protect their money rather than their consumers.

I'm all for efficiency but if I'm managing medical bud I want to work in an environment that only sells bud they would smoke themselves, that is clean, harvested at the appropriate time and processed in a manner consistent with common decency lol

I think theres 2 versions of the sks one for low ceilings one for high
Not exactly, They are on the newest version of their SK series which spreads out their heat sink, and they do say the SK402 can be used indoors; I have seen it and it can. But the SK602 are very much meant to be used high off the plant. But both of those models will work with higher ceilings. They offer 2 models for the home grower, the Mother's Lil' Helper series and the Closet Case series, but niehter of them offer much power. They also have a strip unit, but that is not really their predominant model.

Dont you remember 6 strings cob rooms? Threads should still be here. He was doing what you want with led. Unreal results he has. Shame he left here.
I am friends with sixstring and hes the one who helped me convert over to LED. My plants looked like yours when I first switched. After talking to him about it, it boiled down to now enough food for them. I went from 500 ppm in veg to 800 ppm and they bounced back quickly. Will say I also get solid nugs top to bottom with 2-3 foot of canopy. Better penetration then with 600 hps and cmh I was using. Sixstring grows taller plants then I do also and kills it.

I recently went led after years of using HID lighting but I use both now LED from above and then I hang my HID vertically with no shade below the top of canopy and am seeing increased yields and better colours but wasn’t to impressed with running just the LED definitely see improvement with the highbred system

Same thing happened to me going from 2 1k's over a 4 x 8 turned down to 600 to 3 - 315's. First couple weeks I could only turn 2 of them on even blasted up to the ceiling. Change in spectrum and intensity.

Too much light bro! The LED is punishing the plant just after flip, see lots of people do this, myself included. They don’t look nearly as bright to ya as they do to the plants. Everyone who I’ve seen have this same issue has bounced back hard after dimming their lights down to 50-60% for the first week of flower then the ramping up 5-10% per day until you get to max power. FYI I’m a CMH/HPS/LED grower and we’re all learning with the jumps in tech.
Happy growing bro!

I have found my plants don’t like going from cmh to led i had to keep the leds dimmed down for a week or two depending on plant response . Leds from what I’ve seen like it up around 80-82 and half the nutes. Than what I was giving with hps

I noticed mine took a week or so to recover from the sudden spectrum change. I vegged under LED and the first 2 or 3 weeks of flower with LED too. Then I switched it out for CMH.

Looks to be about a week behind from it. It didn't stop, it just slowed down a bunch. This is actually the first time I've switched lights to this extreme. I've swapped out hps bulbs and even MH to HPS bulbs before with no major setbacks. Guess LED is an entirely different ball game.
