Is there anything else I need to run with Megacrop nutes?

I havve been using V3 for a couple of grows, and no complaints here. Also using a little Sweet Candy and Bud Explosion, they really put on the frost.
Good to know man... I know many had issues with v2. I thought I heard some griping about v3 also but good to hear it's not an issue. Is that soil or hydro? Just curious because it's the dissolution and precipitate that I would be most concerned over.

I use FFOF and a mix of perlite is all. Good luck....only big thing with soil is learning how and when to water.

I was probably one of the ones griping about v3 at first. Until GLN posted about the un-dissolved particles and explained that it was just sulfur, which would hurt nothing. And then of course I found I was running too much light & calcium because of the light issue, (Thanks for helping me sort that out Aqua!) , and I started mixing the v3 powder like they recommend, which also helped dissolve everything a lot faster. So the gripe was all my fault and nothing to do with v3 Megacrop. I'm now not seeing any issues with v3 either and I'm actually really liking it. v2 on the other hand I did not care for. Loved v1 though. This v3 seems to be very stable PH wise as well.

I grabbed the mega crop 2 part. Pumped about this.

Last grow mega crop in RDWC... How I miss this. Now in soil for a bit. This growth was nothing but mega crop and this is only veg growth not stretch. Had to go away and it got outa hand fast. My daughter who knows nothing about hydro or growing watched it while I was away. I say she did well lol. This was 3 weeks with nothing but mega crop. High light and some CO2.

Three fucking weeks? Holy moly.

Been flirting pretty hard with CropMax—hear such good things about it.

Mind if I ask a question? Few would disagree that the system you’re running allows for the fastest growth. But how much difference have you seen running CropMax in it versus other nutrients?

Honestly unless a nutrient contains PGRs you won't see anything spectacular from one balanced nutrient to the other. And if you do its related to a nutrient issue not that the other provides more growth.

A balanced and complete nutrient and your good to go. You can make small improvements by tweaking with additives but often I see most new growers create more issues with these than any increases in plant health etc.

Aqua Man this is an interesting topic, seems some of the nutrient companies are doing just what you said. Adding PGRs to products. Heard about MIMeds favorite adding it to their Cal Mag a couple weeks ago and they got popped and had to pull it all off the shelfs

Yep and because of labeling requirements they are often not listed.

wow the megacrop education problem. used v1 and seemed ok, but also used some other ferts that i shouldn't have imho. i thought the v2 was supposed to be the answer... apparently that's not the case. I SO LIKE TO STICK TO A 1 PART NUTE AT LEAST IN VEG, but MG was coo for the whole run. wish i had done a pure mega.

i have botanicare CNS-217 FOR COCO already, so don't need nutes for it nut i also have biobizz lite and guess i will just use alaska grow if i go that root since i have enough for 1 run left i'm sure. just buy alaska mor bloom if i don't have a gallon in the basement i bought and forgot.

funny how i was all set to go V2 megacrop i liked the idea of easy organics, until just now i thought it was a done deal lol. smdh thanks though. so Jacks now becomes an option since so many do get good results with it and has been like that for years even back on overgrow.

Take a look at Dutch science line. You can get all three 1lb bag good for at least two crops as long as you aren’t huge . I’m 5x5 and 2x4 had good results no lock out. All organic and I used perfectly in straight coco

I add a microbe tea of hydroguard, great white, ancient forest, and aphrodites extraction (to feed the microbes). I mix them in their own 5 gallon bucket with air stone and let it bubble for 48 hours before top feeding my dwc reservoirs. Great White does a pretty good job of providing microbes on its own (without making a tea) but if you are dealing with summer heat making your res temps rise and your dissolved o2 drop then using a tea can act like a force multiplier to your beneficial microbe army and help to keep the bad microbes at bay. Other than that the megacrop seems to have it all.
Have you had the Aphrodites Extraction gum up your DWC at all?

I know this is a super high quality, pre-digested sugar chain.

But I also know it's a bit thicker too, so not sure if you were getting anything gunked up or sediment from it.

If it not, it's a carb I would highly consider using in DWC.

As of right now I plan on running CES Sour Dee for carbs/sweetner.
