Hey guys have you heard of this new thing called the vaporizer? Turns out you don't need to fuck around with half assed non engineered heated presses and other dumb shit anymore, you can vape the rosin right out of the raw flower with heat and air pressure.

Seriously, rosin presses are laughable until they actually engineer one to pull a vacuum on the biomass and collect the extract. Your melting half the trichs into the plant matter for fucks sake! Machine trimmers bad, plastic bags bad! But throw that shit on an ironing board = good? Hahaha

Sounds like you've never had good rosin.

Your understanding of the physics is also off. Nothing gets pressed into the flower, the oils inside the trichomes get pressed out because of the heat and pressure of the plates. It's like if you put your finger in a rosin press until the liquid starts coming out. It's not gonna magically reabsorb the finger goop once the pressing is over.

Prolly not I’ve never had anyone turn down good fresh pressed rosin? I believe it is the best of the best but that’s my opinion

Either rosin, hash rosin, or hash for me. Depends on the strain.

I throw all my used rosin pucks in a mason jar with either everclear if i want to make tinctures or vegetable glycerin for use in making edibles. Super easy and useful, I usually only press the pucks once or twice so theres always a lot left over. Smoking pucks that havent gone through the rosin press would probably pretty similar to a cannagar I would think.

No amount of rosin shaming will ever turn me off it 🤪

I have a really nice personal sized closed column extractor for BHO, digital heat pad, vac chamber & vac pump and can get great results and yields from it but ever since I got my rosin press a few years ago I've only used the extractor maybe twice.
I agree getting a good haul off the squish has an art to it and many adjustments will be made to get there but once dialed it's well worth it. I can squish a zip of flower and usually haul 8 grams off it and the funny thing is those 8g will be so potent it will last me longer than smoking that zip of flower 😋🔥

I tend to bounce around between 200 and 220. I'll check early returns and make 5 degree adjustments until it looks good in both yield and color. If it comes out too dark I back the temps down and too clear I go up a bit.
And my squish times are almost always at 2 minutes. Once in a while I'll go to 2:30 but never less than 2 mins✌

who shamed rosin? just wondering as most of the hate is pointed at me for saying i prefer bho over rosin i have assume you are referencing me? also one does not need to be educated to have a opinion, so that is total BS, i prefer toyota but i can build a car or tell you how it really works besides suck bang boom and zoom. you guys enjoy the rest of your night.

Nobody's telling you not to have an opinion, let alone hating, but let's not pretend that an uneducated opinion has the same value to a discussion as an educated one. If you're going to make a claim on the internet, you should be ready to back it up with evidence.

Having a preference for solvent-based extracts is fine, but this is a site where people come for accurate information so I took exception to your claims that the yield on rosin is bad and that lipids are an issue. Like I said, I'm not trying to be a dick.

Making claims like that takes away from the credibility of what you're saying and has the potential to misinform people that are here to learn.

and please only post really references and no more of opinion on how dialed in you are yuk yuk, each strain will vary depending on moisture and well the weed. but yeah all the big players skip this method and use Co2 and other gases causes they can't figure out how to press weed, gemme a break. the return is bad, and the lipids are bad in fact unless there are terp lipids. but since they have been squashed into the rest of the pile who would know? see i think you allowed your personal preference to cloud your judgement. go find me one study that shows me equal or great yields and the same removal rate of terps and whatever its called that people smoke?
