Beneficial bacteria and fungi. Plenty of them on the market. IMO Beneficial to use especially with organic grows.

ahhh ok i think i know what you mean.
Is that brewing teas with worm castings etc ?
i do normally give them a tea every few waterings aswell. I just use 200ml worm castings in a sieve and aerate it for 24hrs in a 5gallon bucket with 1 tbsp molasses and 1/4 tbsp espsom salts, ph’d at 6.5

Kinda but more like specific strains that will make phosphorus soluble and therefore available to the plant.

I use raw microbes but there are plenty out there

Hi guys, just a quick update.
I haven't touched the plants, ive literally just increased the power of the light to 75% and thats it.
Im noticing brown spotting on most of the leaves, even new growth. Im thinking its maybe caused by the weather because im in uk and the nights can get cold, although the temps never drop below 15•c
Ive mixed up 0.5l bottle with 1/4 tsp epsom salts and 1/4 tsp molasses and will give a foliar spray just before lights out tonight.
Ive tested soil ph and its 6.5 so no issues there.
really mind blowing and dont know what to do.

Veg 400-1000 par.

Always start low and work up.

Bumped the lights up? I think there was to much light to begin with. Looking like they could use some calcium or your adding to much mag creating a calcium issue.

after reading this i just turned them back down to 50%for calcium ive been using molasses and epsom salts for magnesium. Ive been watering and applying the odd foliar spray ( which im due to do tonight ) i normally use 1tbsp per gallon of molasses in a 5gallon bucket and 1/2 tbsp epsom salts. Maybe im not using enough or maybe too much. So hard to work out when growing organically. Maybe the plants are starving but im pretty sure it would as a mobile deficiency whereas it looks like im experiences some sort of immobile deficiency.

I'm not all that well versed in organics but I dont think molasses is going to cut it. Just my opinion.

you’re not the first person who’s said that, as good as it is in flower, i dont think it cuts it as a calmag supplement.
Ive also read that molasses can reduce ph in soil overtime so may be locking out because of that.
Maybe some dolomite lime may help neutralise the ph ?

Could be feed pH! Check soil input, should be around6.2-6.4! This was my problem! GET A SOLID PH/TDS METER blue lab is my recommendation! Then check soil drainage! I agree you don’t want to water to drain BUT either check ppm/pH of run off or do a slurry test.

Yeah, definitely gotta remember the molasses feeds your rhizo not the plant itself, so if you overdo it, it’s bad. Organics is an equilibrium. Molasses is good I used to use it but I would just use Real Growers Recharge. Feed water feed etc with that, HANDS DOWN one of the greatest product in cultivation. Again the biggest thing is to consistently check your rhizo and keep that happy to keep your plants happy.

Imo just supplement cal mag.

In organics all you pretty much can rely on is PH. In the future amend before starting with some shellfish or eggshells or something.

Personally I wouldn't put molasses into my soil only a tea.

Dolomite, citrus juice, distilled vinegar. I wanna know what’s specifically for pH up/down tho!

thats the thing mate, because im growing organically ive been told i dont need to bother with ppm etc, just been told to feed the soil with top dress dry amendments and water in.
Someone mentioned about me getting the bluelab soil tester. Ive already got the bluelab ph pen so i know ive been watering in at 6.3 / 6.5 everytime

so say its after 4 / 5 weeks and then i start seeing the purple in the stems
Purple stems could be genetic unless you see plant stress/necrosis
