What are they started in and are you top feeding?
paper towel as germination and then into a rockwool. Currently i took the rockwool out so the roots are free in the hydro media. Pump is bring the water to the roots in the media currentlyWhat are they started in and are you top feeding?
I would have left it in the rockwool... probably lost a fair bit of root hairs from removing it from the rockwool and just some shock.... not uncommon for them to be slow until the roots hit the water.paper towel as germination and then into a rockwool. i understand your point. however, i was very careful. Also, because the roots were longer while germinating, I had to cut the rockwool in half and put the germinated seed between the rockwool. So, the rockwool was lose. I noticed the roots have grown longer when i took the rockwool away. I also mentioned before that watering it twice wasn't enough hence the added pump. The leaves are up but it just dosn't appear it's doing anything. Just a waiting game I think. IMO if ya dropped in with the rockwool they would be off to the races but should come around.i understand your point. however, i was very careful. An old water cooler can be converted into a chiller pretty easily. But 23c is a nice temp IMO. Looking good broToday's update on the Gorilla Glues

Start off by saying that i am stretching her legs open. The top of the branch is pulled down and the i've tried bringing the bigger leaves under the new grow so that the smaller leaves can get more light. This plant is very stalky and has some big leaves.
I love it, The ph was at 5.6 and four days later is at ph 5.8 due to me adding some more water to the rez.
PPM 448 from 600. For now, I won't be adding any nutrients until the end of the week which i will be doing a complete water change.

Water temperatures of the rez goes up as high as 23c. The cola bottle is filled with water and was frozen. Takes 20 min for it to be back to water in the bottle. It does bring the temperatures down to 19c which i like, but i'm gonna need a lot of more bottles to keep this thing constantly cool.
I have a old little fridge that a friend of mine gave me. This is a very small fridge and can't put any hose in there or anything, but i was thinking of taking some parts and adding it to the dwc system to keep the water chilled. L:et me know if you have any Ideas or diy journals. Thanx

This is the mystery hybrid sativa that i have a stash of seed of. The side leave that is burn is from a water splash i had. The seedling is doing okay, and the 2nd set of leaves are starting to show growth. Finally, I think!

No sign of roots yet. Ph at 6 from 5.8 so i'll just let it run. I did add some nutrients to the rez. Currently the ppm at 70ppm from 22ppm

Here is another Gorilla Glue in soil mixture. She is currently is a drink cup and it will be here until the roots have outgrown the space which then i will transplant into a bigger cup. It has a awesome growth and i think the 1st veg day is getting close by. Starting to feed nutrients at 70ppm and will raise slowly to 300ppm

I did have a spider mite infestation. I noticed four of those little fuckers walking so I splashed the hell out of it with some sort of spider mite killer.
unfortinutlly these leaves will never get better, but regardless it will be the leaves that gets defoliated once the time comes.

The root system is growing and is now visible through the plastic clear cup. I see white clean roots and the soil looks moist but not wet at. watering these is not fun manually.
really 23 is fine? What rez temp should i start worrying? An old water cooler can be converted into a chiller pretty easily. But 23c is a nice temp IMO. Looking good bro
I dont go over 74-75f. I fond 72f to give me the best growth rates without issues.really 23 is fine? What rez temp should i start worrying?
it does have a nice moisture above the water level.I dont go over 74-75f. I fond 72f to give me the best growth rates without issues.
The slightly warmer temps increase the metabolism of the plants and the microbes. So if sterile maybe every 2 days.... but I will be very surprised if you don't see a difference in growth from 66 or so to 72f its very noticeable to me.it does have a nice moisture above the water level.

In coco root temps like 77-79ish and its really good but hydro need to consider DO levels. Like I say 70-74f good 72 is a great spot.
Yes dont lower the water... 1 " below is good. You can even raise the water up the net pot at this point. Thats an old myth. You will have much better root health at 1 inch and the bubbles spraying the root above it.I am trying to figure how much water i need to have in my toet?
The roots are growing and to my understanding, you want to decrease the volume of water for the roots to get longer. However, theh top area of the roots i think are air proning and it doesn't look good. Any ideas?
