Sorry to barge in, but I thought DB might like this, 1 x 600W HPS in a 1.2 x 1.2M tent
20 plants in 2.8L pots. Looks like I'll get a kilo

And still got this and a pile of larff to get through yet

Right on Fudge! Looks dank! Nice yield for the space and that lamp too. What strain(s)?

Thanks I'm really happy, my best ever. It's bignug from seedsman, she's a critical mass/bigbud crossed with something else to get a fast finisher, supposedly 49 days, was WAY too early, pushed 8 weeks last time, but used tria this time and she's hit 9 and could have went 10. Looks like the buds have been eating roids compared to their predecessors

And all I paid is £45 for the dimmable ballasts and 12 each for lumii black lamps, kids play tray in a second hand tent. Proper growing on a budget. Have to admit, it's all thanks to you guys and, the farm. How do become a supporter and give a bit back?

Thats awesome man. You dont need to spend a fortune to feed your head thats for sure. A lot of the new expensive LED tech out there is cutting edge and awesome, but there is absolutely no shame in rocking the older HPS tech on a budget in a vented setup. Its worked amazingly for decades and many of us still use it. Looks like you did very very well.

What tria did you use?

Ok ive got a story/rant. Its a bit long so ill try and edit it to be as to the point as i can.

I started a business and gave notice to leave my job a couple months ago with my last day to be march 12th. . I was/am the superintendent at a 9 hole golf club, but I do a lot more than just that. Im the grounds superintendent, crew supervisor responsible for all hiring and training, The ONLY mechanic, the irrigation technician and repair guy, Pesticide/fertilizer applicator, responsible for all budgeting and ordering, its a lot to manage... I wear a lot of hats and do a lot of paperwork. Since 2008 Ive done this job for 40K Cdn per year, +/- 2K.

I agreed to stay on until March so that the new hire would have maintained machines to use and give the club time to find someone to replace me. I ONLY agreed to stay on because ive been here for 12 years, and dont want to burn bridges in a small community, and really didnt want to leave them high and dry.

To add context, 2018-2019 I experienced pretty wicked PTSD as an officer with 10 years on a fire dept, in those last 2 years I attended/was first on scene for the traumatic death of a fellow FF and good friend.. I was the search team leader for a small plane crash into the forest that claimed 3 people, and other traumatic deaths and injuries on FR calls. I was the Duty officer in charge of most of it for several years and it kinda twisted me up. 2019 my Mother died from altzheimers, months later my Father died from cancer and a month after that my pseudo father/work mentor died with both cancer and dementia.
I hit the psychologist for a few visits and put my priorities in order. But i spiralled for a bit for sure. Work took a hit as i realized i was getting screwed, with lame pay an no benefits besides free golf, and i fucking hate golf... So to that, guaranteed my employers have noticed a lack of me giving a fuck about their shit lately lol.

There is only so much they can expect from me. Anyway, I got back from vacation to my shop flooded with water pouring through the foundation, and the 40 year old shingle roof is leaking and covered in moss 6" thick.
It was like that when i started. I've recommended a new roof every year for the last 12 years.. My ceiling is dripping water on the workbench and It stinks in here. It has no heat besides a woodstove.

Check this out. This was when i came in and as i was working its splashing on my tools from the ceiling. I sent my "boss" these pics and said the place is cold and wet... This is bullshit.View attachment 1075927View attachment 1075928View attachment 1075929View attachment 1075930

Sorry I know I'm a little late to this party and my hot-take isn't exactly groundbreaking news - but you're doing the right thing taking off. Your time is more valuable than the rate that you're being compensated at, and a little issue here or there is one thing - but outright disrespect like your bosses answer is another.

I had a job not long ago that many security engineers would kill for. Big new company with lots of money, all the best toys, broad threat surface under new and exciting attacks all the time. Great money, great benefits, even a lot of flexibility with hours and such - but my boss was such a complete and total POS that I couldn't work for him longer than 6 months. Came a point I put in my notice and looked him dead in the eyes and told him I didn't tolerate the kind of disrespect he perpetrated in any other part of my life so I don't intend to at work.

Fuck him, being happy is worth more in the end.

well said @bellumromanum .. people in your tribe increasing the quality of your life is worth infinite times more than the external outcomes a company offers. Cant have less than stellar people in your everyday work and life. Of course, like most operating systems for life; it's easier said than done. So big ups to you for executing DB! Gl with everything.

Quick question. I'm digging out 4' deep under my GH because it's all sandy soil.

Any advice on what you would replace it with??
