Dirty kids are the modern day hobos/rail ridin tramps. The average lifespan for them is 25yrs. Alex who I recruited from behavioral, was a 35yr old, dirty kid. Phil, is in his 50s. Greg, is senior to Phil. Neither, is a dirty kid. Knowing this code word, opens many doors, among the homeless. My pseudonym, has become my street name; alias, as well. I approach and speak to the fuzz, as often as possible, to develop relationships from business owners, to homeless and those who watch over both.
Realize, their current situation is unsustainable. One football team oops bet and after March first, it's back to the park. But for one magical day... My boys have a home.
Phil had 2 businesses he refers to, commonly. He mentioned the second, didn't end well and after he and his wife cashed out, they walked with 10k. Someone claiming to be of wealth, who was not, would likely claim more, or less, in an ending. He took the money, his pretty little wife and took to the trail. It didn't end well, with that wife. I'm not going to attempt to vet their stories. Why would I.
Greg: 6 diamond chef... World traveller, professional ski coach. He tells it well. When I saw bottled seasonings I knew could be purchased fresh, in greg's shopping cart... As I mentioned- Greg tells it well. I've met 5 diamond and, "lesser", chefs. Let's leave it at that. I still hope to be invited to a meal Greg prepares. These guys barbecue, all the time.
They both drink, professionally, making a car, a bad idea, currently. I'll head back at 0800 and they'll have a professional driver for the morning. It's going to cost them, $5. I know Greg wants to shop, again, and do laundry I could've done, overnight... But I'm learning to damper my being their bitch, simply because I'm bored and don't mind helping... It's easy to lose the line between being of service and being someone's bitch.
Ran into rape charge ray's paramour, yesterday. Greg, is friendly with him. They use the same storage unit complex. It's creepy. I've heard more stories about rape charge Ray, since our winner take all little game. None of them are positive and they all end in violence, or more lies. The crime scene and my voluntary DNA swab, spoke for themselves. Having witnesses never hurts, either. Could've gone differently. Once it plays out, this me, ain't even gonna wear the badge that says I did THIS, for my peeps. Let's not give a squatter the satisfaction of believing he was even a challenge. However, the thought of what could've happened, if I'd come back to the house, the day rape charge Ray was expecting me... and hadn't brought acquaintances with... Yeahhh... The consequences of what he was aiming for... To me: death. I know exactly what happens to rapists in the pokey; even in county. It usually ends with tissue and a red mop. I'd rather swallow lead personally, and I can take a beating.
Tomorrow, we pay tire shop Chris the $40 we owe and tell him, "I could use potmoney"..., so I can make a run for my boys, and we run Carl to needles for a replacement social security card so he can receive his free funny money. He'll probably offer me money.i may take him up on it. If chauffeuring is done free, my pot stuff couldn't be sustained, free.
Not... A drug dealer. Pharmacies are. With all these negative and lethal side effects commercials, the line between smack dealer and Walgreens becomes more obscured for me. Shady pain doctors who write in parking lots and pharmacies who maintain false addresses, knowingly... Killing 50,000ish a year, with opioids alone... I don't think Pablo Escobar had that many credits in his game.
We will remember yesterday, as a perfect day. It's a beautiful dream. Mid 50s will run out of social security credits, long before retirement age. Homelessness being chosen, is not sanity, to me. We call addiction and alcoholism diseases which are allegedly hereditary, when I was taught it. Phil, refers to this age as a black hole for the disabled. No child wishes to grow up to be a homeless alcoholic. Their shelf life isn't conducive to longevity. We can ignore these things and teach our children who to fear, or we can tell ssdi where to shove it. This... Is not sanity, to me and THAT... to me... Insured disability.
My mother, would disagree, but it's her money she sends and her time she spends... Doing whatever it is she does, within her church charity. One way, or another, we pay. Word on the street is that someone was murdered the other night and the dood who said it (honestly forgot which who), said everyone (meaning homeless community) knows who did it, but it will go uninvestigated, as it was the ending of a homeless person. Perception is their reality. I'd be the last to know the truth.
Spoke to cadence, parks and rec... He's a successful 22yr old family man, with horticulture in his blood. David has taken to throwing a rat jacket on me and sullying cademce's reputation among the more violent of the homeless. My reputation will bear David's paranoia, but cadence... I'm not sure he's aware of just how dangerous it could be, for him. I know the risk. I face my accuser, toe to toe, every time. When I know I'm making ripples, telling someone, "NO", I return the very next day and never tell my version. I look them right in the eye and move on... Tending to ailments, distributing food/warmth/whatever they need that pleases me to do. Addressing bullshit, is a waste of my time.
