This is my first time growing and I have one plant that has done awesome from seed and I've gotten several clones currently growing from it in great shape. This was 100% female, Im week 3 into 12/12 light change, did some decent defoliation recently. The room is in the basment and not ideal, temps fluctuate between 60-70 degrees but the plant has been growing great. Started the seed in late August.

Needless to say, I found what I think are pollen sacs. Friends think its swollen calyxs, but theybsure look like pollen sacs fr other growers pictures. They are pointy like some female calyxs pics, but I'm so torn. I think it hermied. Any advice?

I took off 2 of these balls, nothing is in them. No pollen or seed, but not sure if that's because they're young pollen sacs or because they're not pollen sacs at all.

More upclose pics. They're not everywhere which makes me think they're pollen sacs, as if they were calyxs shouldn't they be all over?

Those are definitely male sex organs. I just tossed a plant that did the same thing. You don't want those to mature and drop pollen they will seed your whole room buds.

Thanks! Man that's a bummer but what I was expecting. Others are telling me it's "probably fine" but this definitely looked unusual.

My clones are in the same room so are they already exposed? Some clones were taken while flowering but before the pollen sacs, are these good? I separated the clones and this hermie under 2 madeshift grown tents (basically covered with greenhouse tarps). Will this suffice? My thought is the clonese are already exposed so just keep this going to get some bud? Or definitely toss now before more harm is done? There's no pollen im the sacs that I see now when I tear them apart.

Thanks for your quick response. This has been killing me for 48 hours!

Here's a close-up of one of the 3 pods I took off, nothing is inside. All of these pods are on the top branches, none on lower branches.

Well the thing is there is hermie in its genes. Most will show right away but some wont until a little later in flower. All strains can hermie if very stressed but some are prone too because of their genetics.

So any clone you take from it will do the same thing, it's genetic and nothing you can do unfortunately. It's not even worth messing around with them Imo. I would toss them and move on to the others you have or crack some new seeds and start the hunt again!

Looks like a pollen sac to me!
Yeah Im convinced and appreciate the feedback. Im keeping her going either way and make some butter. There's still a small window of hope open, I found a pistil coming out of one, heres a pic of 2 of the sacs. The 1 in the front hasnt opened yet but you can see white and the sace behind definitivelyhas a pistil. Here's a pic of one sac starting to open

, it doesn't look like it in the pic but from the naked eye it looks like outside maybe leaves....could all just be wishful thinking and my mind playing tricks on me!

I would wait. You have plenty of time before any seed would mature and start to be a risk with pollen. I have these show up from time to time and my natural reaction is MALE, pitch!! But I've learned to wait it out a bit and have discovered some are new nodes of growth and a new flower stack sight. Other times they have matured to a small bunch of "bananas"and then I know it's time to pitch.

The seeds don't make pollen. If this is a pollen sac and indeed looks like one it will open and drop pollen that will pollinate the calyx of the flowers thus making seeds. Once the pollen drops your too late and it can happen fast.

I would keep it going if you don't have any nice flowering plants going, just not worth seeding them if you do.

Are those definitely pollen sacks? I ask because I would have never assumed they werent catalyxes from the pictures I think. Arent pollen sacks round, and there are white pistils,
Is this what a hermie looks like, cause its def not all male? I thought the hermies get round like banana shoots? Or would that be grapes? Lol

It has both sex organs on it. It can be very confusing until you have seen them on a bunch of plants. Pollen sacs look just like what be has that will open like a flower and release pollen. Bananas usually come later in flower from stress but I'm not sure of they come from genetics to be honest. They will also release pollen
