I wanted to add some nutrients to my initial feed to boost root growth, one week after I transplanted the clones in a hydro system to make sure the roots sought a path down and out the bottom of a 4"x4" rock wool cube that has its clone in a 2x2 plug at top. I thought I read something about carbo blast being good at promoting root growth but now that I have it I can not see anything I google now except its carbs (natural sugars so the plant can concentrate on essential oil etc... but roots? I had read where they compared it as similar to kool bloom, which I use in flowering cycle, but the NPK numbers are much different with KB=0-10-10 and CB=0-1-0 so I don't think they provide the same bud bulking properties... can anyone explain these product and their functions and if they overlap at all... and how to promote early root growth :)'

Don't buy into the unicorn piss in 50 bottles.

The only thing that's going to improve root growth is a good environment, balanced nutrients and proper lighting.

That and PGRs. (Plant growth regulators)

P is way over done in nutrients and causes a shit ton of issues. Feed a balanced nutrient solution and concentrate on environment.

Now in term of root health you will want to run sterile or live to keep and promote healthy root growth. This is 1000x more important than unicorn piss or PGRs.

The best root growth comes from a healthy plant not magic claims on a bottle. Yes some products can help promote root growth but unless it's a PGR the only way they help is if there is a deficiency or issue to begin with. So while adding carbs may help increase the population of beneficial microbes that doesn't mean the roots or plant will grow any better if its healthy. Infact over populations of beneficial bacteria etc. do more harm than good.
