So the plant from seed to now is about 4 weeks old. I’m growing In DWC setup. The res temp on a high day gets to about 74-75 but I try to keep it from 67-72 by adding ice bottles to the bucket. I’m using hydroguard but I need to check the date. ItsNot expired but it might be past the 6 month mark of

The PPM’s are at max 400 ppm and p.h is 5.7-6.0. Room temp gets to about 80 being the max and humidity is around 60%. The plant herself looks amazing but today when I went to look at the roots And swap out bottles I saw some brown. I’m wondering is it just staining from the nutes or the beginning of root rot.

let me know what you guys are thinking.

Nope looks fine... give a gentle rub to get any slime off. Looks like just a bit of bacteria. Keep water at 1" below the net pot so the bubbles are splashing the roots and tops feed once a week to get bennies or h2o2 to the roots in the net pot and keep from a salt buildup.

So here are more pics from the last ones I posted. Can this be root rot or just staining? The new roots are nice and white but the ones in the middle are brown but not slimey.

I massaged them and some roots came off which stink but they look better o guess.
I have the water about 1 inch under the net pot and also water temps bother above 72

I do, once I set the Ph I use 1 cup of the res water and I top feed once a day with it.
It does not feel slimey so I thought maybe stained but not sure

If no slime it's staining... bacteria and root rot will both be slimy.
