Raise it. Do not change the schedule until you are ready for flowering.
Definitely. I know for flowering you have to stop light for 12 hours at least but I’ve also heard too much time with lights on can be hard on the plants as well. I just raised both lights up higher so hopefully that’s where I was going wrong 🙏🏻

What kind of light do you have? LED? 16 to 20 inches above the plant tops.

I have two LEDs one is 600 & the other is 1000w. They were around 32” above my plants but I just raised them highe

What's the actually wattage and do you have a ppfd print for both sytems? I'll help you work it out exactly. You might be better off sitting one down for right now until later down line

My temps have been consistently between 71-81 degrees F. Humidity levels fluctuate but stay relatively high around 60-80%. I use a moisture, pH & light meter which says most of my plants are receiving 400 units. If you have any suggestions let me know!

Recap: The plants were all doing great under the light until I left town for a week and had a friend water them 2x per day. When I came back I noticed multiple leaves turning yellow on several plants…I thought it could’ve been a nutrient deficiency but I was wrong. I transplanted them all to 3 gallon pots and used great white during the process. I think they’re looking better, but it’s hard to say
I would think that unless you live in the Mojave desert watering twice a day is overkill. I water my plants and then I'm gone two days and they are getting dry most days by then so I could water. Sometimes if I'm gone 3 days the big plants will be dying of thirst. I water as soon as I get back and they always recover just fine. Probably slows them down a bit but they march right through. Some of those old growers say too much attention is the worst thing you can give them

Depends on the media and pot size... I was watering 14x a day in my 1 gal coco.

In veg they say you could keep the light on 24-7 to speed growth up. I think for awhile I had the lights on 19-20 hours. It probably keeps the nodes close together if your trying to get a more compact plant. What I wonder is when you go to 12/12 for flowing, after they get flowering well, what would happen if you went up to say 14 or 15 hours on?
Bigger Buds? I kind of doubt it would go back to veg.

Ya but the actual like 2x2 manufacturers blueprint. Who makes the light I'll look it up. And like aquaman said their is other issues present it seems like but is best to back off any unnecessary stress too

It will go back to veg and kill off the buds. I've done it. I was trying it out because of something I heard. I was finally able to finish it out after quite a while.

You have the patients of Job. Ha
I did leave some Sativa clones in a one gallon plastic pot, mainly because I'm short of room and I'm trying to make sees with them, I have others in 5 gallon square pots I want to fertilize. They are flowering well I hope to see some bananas soon. After 3 days gone, they were really, really dry. I have them in a soil mixture. These plants are a lot tougher then we think they are, they seem to bounce back from most problems. My soil has a lot of perlite to avoid the too wet drowning syndrome, thats probably one of the worst things to happen.

I was thinking about how to minimize the stretch in flower stage. When the light is cut by some 6 hours they really seem to reach for it.
I guess thats why people turn it up to 100%. I have heat problems in Florida so I can't go higher then 80%, even thats hot with LEDs

To minimize stretch you can manipulate a few things.

Spectrum.... a heavier blue leaning Spectrum will shorten internode spacing.

Temps... a negative diff will have a drastic effect on shortening internodes.

PGRs.... not recommended.

Day/night diff is by far the easiest and most effective for specifically the stretch period as it can be changed at any point without issue and will reduce internode spacing very effectively.

You can raise or lower the light. A light over 12 inches I think causes stretch. I like mine at 16 inches and I get a 1.5-2 inch nodal spacing.
If I raise it to 20 inches, they shoot up to it in a day or two. Mostly I keep it around 14-16.

Those are the wattages of each light. I have a pH, light and water multimeter that reads my plants are receiving 400-500 units (not sure what the name of the units are). I can take a picture of my meter with the lights on when I get home.
