So was at a buddies house the other day, he was gonna toss these. So I decided fuck it I’ll take em and see if I can save em. They both rooted in the cloner he plants them in cups, with what I’m gonna believe is miracle grow soil or some shit. Not certain on what was put in there for nutrients. He’s pretty close to the chest on giving out information. I’ve pruned off most of the really bad stuff. But the one looks trashed so didn’t wanna prune more. The one has super dark leaves on the bottom never seen that before. But both are looking rough. Any thoughts on what you guys see is appreciated. One is Bruce Banner and one is Blackwater.

Sorry, I forgot to say I noticed that there was insect damage. Wasn’t positive if it was mites or thrips. (these fuckers are stashed far far away from my grow). I treated them with a sesame/soy oil mix not long after taking these pictures. It seems like there is more going on than that but I could be wrong.

They possibly have been over watered. They look like they will make it.

@Habosabin thanks for the input. If anybody sees anything else I’d love to hear it. Been reading on here for a long time and this is my first post. But have gotten so much valuable info.

Clones need time for roots to develop so I think once you are past that it should be all good. Just keep those bugs off. Make sure media is wet all the way through and then don't water until it's lighter.

Ya dude def got the bugs monitored. Grabbed these off a pretty messy grower for lack of a better term. The main thing I’ve never seen is those damn near black leaves on em. Those bottom ones are darker than the pics make it seem

It's hard to tell from the pics. Maybe the soil is a little hot with nutes.

Other than the thrip damage, I think that mix is drowning them. How much drainage is in that bucket? With that soil mix with all that sand, it needs to be peppered with holes.

That looks like dirt from his backyard.

I wouldn't go thru the headache of messing with them, especially if you have a current garden, because you can end up infesting your own grow room with someone else's problems.

I've grown in backyard dirt. It wasn't pretty but damn good smoke.

To be fair, I lived on a cattle ranch with a 5 acre garden in my backyard.
But I added sand for drainage because we had a lot of clay.
And later I found out cannabis needs silica.
