Hi guys,

My plant started showing some disease at the flowering stage. It's my first time growing.

I'm not sure if it's a calcium or a ph problem.

I'm watering them with bud booster Bio PK 5-8 from bio tabs (half suggested) since them started the flowering stage.

Do you guys know what the issue could be?

Thank you so much

What’s it growin in? And what is the ph you been watering with ? You could be right on both accounts as there are few different things that affect the uptake/use of cal.
Bottom line is these guys gonna need a little more info the more the better answers u Will get

just bud booster?
should have something with a bit of nitrogen in it?
you look to be in week 3 of flowering?
any other nutrients you have there?View attachment 1139079
Hi GNick55,

Thank you for your reply.

Just bud booster. It's the 5th week since they started flowering. I think they are late because I stressed them too much. Had an issue with the lights. The light was too strong.

My feeding schedule was like this:

2 week - watering with canna rhizotonic (just this week)
3 week - put into the soil 2 tabs of bio-tabs.
6 / 7 week - started watering with bud booster

The PH is always between 6 and 7.

I have here the below nutrients:
- Canna rhizotonic
- Bud booster Bio PK 5-8
- Try-Pack Bio-Bizz (Grow / Bloom / Top Max)
- Waiting delivery of canna calmag.

Thank you for your time.

Hi Moshmen,

I'm growing it in 1/2 light soil bio bizz and 1/2 canna coco. The PH is always between 6 and 7.

Thank you for your post.

the light burned them when those were the top leaves. now they are growing they are showing it more.
The damage is already done to those leaves. They'll only keep on looking worse until they eventually fall off.

As long as the new growth looks healthy you should be fine.

ok i’m not necessarily telling you to do this but lessen the amount of the pk booster and add in your bio bizz bloom..
how many ml per gallon of pk you use?

mmm that’s not much at all..
5 weeks into flower than they are doing fine kinda late now to be chasing deficiencies..
maybe just add 2-3 ml/gallon of bio bizz bloom on next feeding, than after that just 1 ml per gallon added with your pk booster till the end.
that’s probably what i would do.
maybe just leave it for a bit to see if other growers agree with me.,

I’m not a coco guy but I’ve been told that coco and soil or peAt of any kind don’t mix well - next grow pick one direction you will have more success - light is possible leds seem to increase calmag needs at stages of growth all my opinion of course

Hi Moshmen,

As it was my first time, I used everything that the dutch passion suggested for these strains. That's why the soil with coco and the nutrients. I'm learning a lot since I started. Next time I'll try different ways! Thank you so much for your help. I'll have the calmag in 3 days. I'll start using it as soon as I get it. Cheers.

Lots of people mix coco and peat with great results. Cocoloco and promix hpcc are just 2 examples.

Just an observation about LED lighting and Calcium deficiencies. If your nutrients are just the slightest bit deficient in Calcium you'll see a deficiency in your plants with LEDs. I believe it has to do with the amount of light LEDs can give off and the increased transpiration rates. Also, if your lighting is too close (not necessarily burning your plants) you can also begin to see a Calcium deficiency on the top leaves. I grow in ProMix, I think coco would be similar. That said, you might not need a CalMag supplement. I was able to remedy this by slightly increasing the EC (just by .1 - .2) of my fertilizer solution. I also use Epsom salts. Just make sure you are seeing an actual deficiency.
