Pineapple Express, 150ish days old but 52 days into flower, I “plan” on cutting hand hanging on week 8, but I’m wondering if I should maybe try to stretch to 8.5 or 9 week mark? I’ve been using fox farm ocean forest the whole grow and did some training as well. Read the run off today and it was a 0.8 for ec ppm was 1213. And ph was low at 5.2. I checked trichs with my loupe and most were a good mix of both hazy and cloudy some milky a couple random ambers. I then took pics via phone to get a different overall perspective, what do you guys think wait til 58 days or 62 to 65? She did have stress early on in flower I was able to save her, been fighting off seeds and nannas but I’m def OK with some seeds to save her genetics for future experiments. Just kinda anxious, and wondering when to chop hahaha . I’ve got her humidity at 45% the temp 74F. I plan on dropping the humidity way down in a few days, 25 to 35% if I can help it. Also the smaller one is from her to, I also have three other smaller ones from the bigger one that I cloned, they were in my way when training so I chopped them and root gel applied them, hoped for the best and they all made it. The other four are doing amazing. But they are on the same time schedule.

Nice looking plant. What light? Ever consider topping and low stress training to get more yield? This plant was just over 2 feet tall and yielded 60 grams. First indoor grow but I would say a large part of success was the even distribution of light over the canopy of bud sites. Controlling the height just made her more manageable as well. She looks like she’s about to outgrow your tent lol

she's looking pretty close ... it's hard to tell from the photos.. When you check trichomes make sure you're looking on the bud (calyxes or bracts) and not the leaves - I find amber trichomes on leaves WAY earlier than on the actual bud and especially lower down on the plant...

I think it's very important to realize that trichome ripeness does not occur at the same time all over the plant - which is why it's important to really take a look in different parts of the plant to make an overall assessment ... pruning, training or lolli-popping are all methods which can help keep all the buds in a more uniform range of distance from the light - making it easier to harvest a whole plant with more uniform trichome ripeness (if all your buds are of similar size and at the same height - you can more easily achieve uniform bud size, ripeness, drying and curing)

Just curious, ec of .4 and ppm of 1213?
I’m probably way off track but isn’t an ec of .4 about 200ppm? I’ve always thought ec and ppm correlated to each other. Pls advise.

Would depend on if you are converting to 500 or 700 PPM.

It actually states .8 EC which would be 400 or 560 PPM

@elduderito @Rooke @FourPlants @MilkyTrichomes @mysticepipedon i am literally 3 days from 56 day mark, I just took a look at a few of the bigger top buds and trichs look a good mix milk cloudy and still some clear, do I wait for week 9? I’m actually more down for a pain reliever type affect I suffer from severe debilitating back pain. My plan initially was to wait for 60 day mark but shut her light off for 24 to 48 hours before. What do y’all think? The way she is now I’m sure some people would go for it, it is personal pref but I also want the lower ones to develop more. I’ve trimmed her quite a bit, have spaced it out though.

I think for pain relief you want to wait for a good amount of amber trichomes .. maybe up to 30%... I think given your goals it's better to harvest too late than too early...

I am still on my first grow so I don't have a ton of personal experience on how trichome maturity at time of harvest drives medicinal and/or psychoactive properties. I know what I have read but we have plenty of experienced members who can chime in with personal experience.
