Good Day to All!

I'm on my second indoor grow and have the typical question 'are they ready to harvest?' On the first go round, (Chocolate Mint OG), right around the harvest time that was marked on the package, trichomes started to turn amber.

The second grow is 'Chementine' from Sacred Cut Seed Co (Chemdog 91 x Sour Tangie). It has a posted flower time of 10 weeks. I am on week 9 now and thinking about harvesting but in this case, there are no amber trichomes that I can see. They do appear almost 100% milky to my eye. Other signs appear to indicate the plants are ready to harvest - red hairs, water uptake is less, fan leaves yellowing...

Looking for some opinions... Here are the pictures:

I would like to see bigger heads on top of the trychome stalks, will more time have them fill up better? I think I should pay more attention to this phase, watch them go from the early hairs to nice mushrooms. I would love to hear about how to help the plant do that. My guess is more time is needed.

It's actually rare that a plant is done when the breeder says it will be done, when grown from seed.

I would wait until I saw amber. It could easily be a week after the breeder claimed it would happen.

Thanks for the opinion - seems to make sense. Last week (week 8) I began to flush with just plain water. This week (start of week 9) I am continuing the flush. Do you think I flushed too early? Perhaps I should give nutes today?? I should add that I am growing in Pro-Mix HP and using Advanced Nutrients Sensi Bloom (for flower phase).

Its a longer running strain, amber is amber. It will get there. To harvest now would be premature and the quality would suffer. Just a few days can make a huge sifference in end product.

Thanks! Do you think I started to flush to early? I started at the begging of week 8 - it is currently the start of week 9. I did this thinking i would be harvesting at week 9 however, based on your advice and advice from others, I probably should have gone with one more week of feedings? Your opinion is appreciated!

If I had started my flush early and needed to run it a little longer i would just give it a little Desulfured molasses. If you're in soil, you're still OK with a little longer flush

Thanks - would you consider Pro-Mix HP soil?

At my grow store they sell 5 trailers of promix for every pallet of blue planet or whatever the competing brands they have are. It's all I use. That and DWC.
