hey y'all, so i got some outdoor plants in 50/50 coco perlite which i just transplanted from 5 to 15 gallons, after which i went on vacation. i left my buddy to take care of em and i told him to give them 3 gallons every other day, will that be too much seeing as their newly transplanted? before this i used to give 1 gallon every 2 days (5 gallon pots)
(pic underneath is the run off after watering1 of em, looks fine to me¿)

Are you giving them synthetic fertilizer each time you irrigate? Or did you mix organic fertilizer into the media?

Those look lovely... https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/how-to-water-coco-for-best-results.122334/ follow this and your golden... so for 15gallon triple the 5 gallon water amount.. it would be best if you collected your runoff. So do this water once in morning with that amount and if the runoff is less then 10percent give whichever plant that was more water til you get a runoff of 10-20percent.. then a hour before bed give the same amount check the runoff again..if it doesnt give a runoff of 10 percent give that plant more feed until it does give you that. and if your still not getting a consistent runoff by the third day add another feed in. By doing this your not letting your coco dry and your giving them the nutrients they need because coco has no nutrients also your not wasting your nutrients. trust me I didn't want to do it this way but I found it to be wayyyy more easier because I was mixing less nutrients ...way less nutrients(which was getting waste) I was actually watering just like you every few days . Give it a shot. If it's too much work just switch back to the way you're doing it now but I think you'll enjoy it.

Just keep doing whatever you are doing, they look great. I wouldn't have used such big pots with coco, but they should be fine. And always use the fertilizer when you irrigate. I would not change a thing since they look so good. But you will have to increase irrigation frequency as they get bigger.

I went from 7 to 10 gal on this grow. My plants are far bigger than the previous in a shorter time.
I found that you need to water a lot in the beginning even if the pot is heavy because the roots haven't filled out the pot yet. Just watch the leaves to see if they're wrinkling from heat/dry stress or the plant is wilting..
My plants are jammin and I have a tent grow.

What sort of coco? I use coco loco and I run my plants on the dry side in 5 gallon smart pots. I don't hit one gallon per plant until 6-7th week (Give or take because of the seasons). You'll get a million different answers to this age old question. I believe roots grow better if they're allowed to get a little dry. I can't prove this, but my root masses are huge..My plants are just starting to flower and are getting 2 liters every 3 days. They show no signs of stress and are growing very well. What ever you decide you can water the container with what ever amount you decide on, then pick it up and feel the weight. Do it a few times so you can remember it well. Wait a day or three then pick the container up again, if its really lightweight then its time to water, if its still heavy I would leave it alone. Less is more in this hobby, its better to under water your plants than over water them, just like its better to under feed than over feed...Good luck,

Very Fair point....Either way I love it..Dust free, Ph is stable as Phuck, for you bro science guys that are scared of nutes, it has enough nutrients for 3 weeks, and grows exactly like coco
