Trying to pull the trigger on flowering lights for a 6×9 space. But im torn.. and looking at specs is getting real tedious. 9k minisplit co² everything else decked out. I got LED for the veg. My first LED. Plenty of HPS and MH experience. I've read a bunch of posts and grow journals. I was thinking about maybe a 700 wat dual 350 cmh from sunplix sandwiched between 2 leds maybe 800watt g2s also from sunplix.. then I started reading about Ceramic HPS and now I just don't know. I see the cmh can have more stretched out node growth while leds are tighter. But the cmh produces better terpene content. Which is what I really want. Any feedback is appreciated .
If it were me, I'd go CMH everytime. Nothing compares to the terpene and trichome production. There's just something different about them, that full spectrum magic. I use two CMH315's side by side in a 5 x 5 tent and have some of the most amazing flower. With high heat and humidity outside, our tent reaches 85.5F at the worst with the lights on. We keep circulation going with fans and the leaf temps are nice. No one is cooking in there lol. You do lose a bit on the yields but I've not hit any low marks to get me to rethink any decisions. The quality is too good to walk away from.
The way I look at it is, I don't keep lights on in our house, tv not on, no videogames, no useless gadgets on for no reason. I'm gonna treat myself to my CMH's!!
