White Spots on New Plant Leaves?

New to Growing. Have nice-looking plants but all of the leaves are getting white spots on them which are turning to Brown. Took a look very closely with a magnifying glass and could not see anything moving, if it is mites they are microscopic. No evidence of Thrip, should be able to see the bugs or larvae with what I am using. Have not used a microscope to look for microscopic mites. Did not look really flaky like I would expect some of the fungus to look. Any thoughts on what this might be? Basically white spots that turn to Brown and then become a hole in the leaf. Thoughts?

I still think it's a pest, because I don't know what deficiency it could possibly be. I would blast it with this product, because it's what I've got and it seems to work on all soft-bodied insects and other creepy-crawlies. You could probably also hit them with a simple, dilute soap solution or other pesticide of your choice.

personally i do think you have thrips i've had them in the past and they caused white dots all over the leaves then turned brown like yours have you checked your soil ?

Never have grown plants before. I only have 3 plants started from seed, brand-new bag of potting soil 4 weeks ago. Plants have looked great for one month, now seeing these white spots. Plants are just under 3 feet tall, planted in 5-7 gallon cloth containers. On an upstairs deck so not on the ground where other plants are, nothing near them. Few trees overhead. I have a really powerful magnifying glass and was not able to see anything moving, I am used to looking for parasites from my job. Shake them over top of the white piece of paper and do not see anything falling off. I guess I can take them to a microscope? What would I check for in soil?

yeah i would suggest a micro scrope to see whats going on you you could try the potato method cut a spud into 4 pieces and place on top of your soil face down and the next day you should see larvae if that's your problem underneath the potatoes keep doing this until you don't see no more larvae this method can take remove and replace the potatoes if you are seeing larvae should kill 10/15 per piece

Having nearly the same issue. Was on 1 leaf now its on 2 ive noticed. Theres other pics i have with very tiny parts of the edges of the leaves are brownish yellow. Ive been told it can be thrips.

Im researching natural pesticides and to summarize alot of stuff and also including other suggestions, im using all organic baby soap bc of the sunflower seed oil and other natural ingredients which have lots of fatty acids which kill soft body insects within mins of contact and then Im using neem seed mixed into that as an edible form of pest control bc as the soap speads it evenly on the leaves, the pests ingest it and that kills them but takes a bit longer. So its a double dose BUT ITS VERY DILUTED, VERY VERY DILUTED! About 1/8 of a teaspoon of neem seed meal and about 3ML all organic baby soap into about 30oz of water, i just began this 2 days ago and only sprayed 1 time BUT i think this seems to be a great foliar feed also bc of the ingredients included in this organic baby soap, not sure of that BUT after the spray the plant was singing and reaching for the sky after days of seeming slightly droopy.
