I would feed until runoff and the pot is saturated then it likely your good for several days in those pots with seedlings.
Perfect so I could leave for three days and see whether or not 5% volume of water hits the 10-20% run off and from there get a gauge of how far off ideal timing I am. Simples.

Bitbwhat are those 5 gal? If so after the initial soaking you am would always feed 1 litre and want 10%-20% runoff. Adjust frequency to get those numbers.

Yup.

Hit them with 1.5 l each, got 450 back, so 30%. After two days since last flush, pH on waste is 6.4. Will give them 4 days now and see if we can get that run off down to 10-15%. You make it so simple man! The power of grade 9 maths. ☺️

So great to watch them respond to the nutes, especially after that week where they must have wondered what the hell I was up to. Love how quickly it all happens with coco. Quite amazing really.
Your seedling were in pretty good shape even at the start the key is you adjusted early before damage. Thise leaves will be removed later anyhow.

Your past research and interest imo will have you make this look easy. Keep it simple on the first and make small adjustments each grow and you will have great success.

But there isba down side to that... you likely will not have many first hand issues to correct. How's that bad? We learn from our mistakes 😉. Second best is to learn from others mistakes.... butbuts just not the same lol.

Exactly how I see things. Good men learn from their mistakes, smart men learn from other people's. As you say though it can make one an ineffective teacher and coach if you haven't battled through yourself. I won't speak too early because still so much to learn and lots can go wrong but I feel much more confident now that I've found somewhere to get advice quickly. Takes a lot of pressure off.

On plant development Mr Aqua, I see quite a bit of variation between pictures of seedlings on different days, as one would expect when dealing with myriad environmental variants and genetic variability. Mine are looking really healthy though towards the smaller end of what I've seen for day 11 after sprouting. Would it be safe to assume that in a bigger pot you sacrifice early above ground growth while the plant focuses on filling out the roots? Would it be the case that some of this is made up later when the plants hit veg and have a massive root base built up and just go off?

Oh also, they are looking great, perfect leaf angles and allowing more lovely lime green and less yellow. I notice some slight distortion on the edges of those early leaves, would it be safe to assume that as there is no spotting or marking that it may be a remnant of previous cal deficiency in that first week of no nutes?

Imo plants grow roots based in needs. Indont think a bigger pots means more roots they are just spread out.

It's possible they just started slow. I don't think the pot size has anything to do with it but maybe... ik off to bed but will check back in the am

The two times I went from rooters to final pots, growth seemed slow for a few days. Picked up after that. Didn’t have the same slow down the time I went in more stages. I assumed because doing work under the surface when suddenly have exponentially more space available. But this from a limited sample size and extremely anecdotal. So take with a grain of salt.

Yeah makes sense. I think if there is a common factor I’d say it’s the lack of nutrients for the first week. There’s a photo of a replacement I planted one week later than the other three as the other one I sprouted was munted and under developed. It hasn’t even stood straight yet and you can already see the start of the second leaves. The others took an extra three days to get to that. This one has had nutes from first water and is loving life.
You can maybe see the little twist in the leaf of the other one. This is what I am assuming is the remnant of cal deficiency earlier, though the thing gets a more lively and vibrant green every day. From what I can see at this early stage the plant is using the resources from its latest leaf and worrying about the next one so don’t think this little leaf is worrying it too much. Let me know if there’s something I should be checking though. 😌

Thanks mate. Yeah they definitely got a good hit when I set the light too low/turned up too high, which I changed about six days ago. Got a better phone today and checked my ppfd and turned lights down slightly as closer to 250 than 200. Look like they're loving life though.

Funnily enough I didn't connect the two but when I was in there a couple hours after it had straightened out. Not sure if it can happen that quickly but that's how it looked 😂

Yep it can. With some issues minutes. Like under watering.

Morning sir. I remember you saying something about dropping humidity during the night cycle? Even at this early stage of development my little ladies are pushing tent RH up to 70 with the lights on. Lights out last night it maxed at 82 which is pretty high when the low temp was about 65. Lights are off in the day from 10-4. Tent is in a small room that leaks no light, would you suggest opening up the tent each morning ready for the lights out cycle? Little worried about going over 80 at such low temps.

The one that's a few days behind looks great to this point. Lovely structure
