Hi all, running a strain for the first time, and considering whether or not to top. I've read some people that say just wait until you get six nodes then top. Other people say you're better to run a strain 'as is' the first time to see how it likes to grow, if it is a low flat grower maybe don't top at all. A common suggestion seems to be that if you are training, particularly with a new strain, just bend the plant like with an Autoflower and train that way. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts.

Edit: I have a trellis net and will be using this to do some weaving under to spread the canopy out. Strain is Sativa dominant and displays those long leaves but nice tight node spacing so far. But have been made aware these can stretch quite a bit after flower.

Peace and blaze.

Like you said, there are too many variables to just answer the question. Choose a plant and then we can apply the criteria as needed to get an answer.

Good point. I'm gonna do an intro thread with details and photos of my setup and my 2 week old ladies. Will post the query in there, makes more sense I think. Peace!
