What’s going on guys and gals. This is my first post and first time growing so please feel free to move this thread if it’s in the wrong area. I have two Pineapple auto seedlings that are about 8 days old. I got them from Growers Choice on 7/26. I immediately put them in water for approximately 18 hours and then transferred to damp paper towels. Once the tap root was about half an inch I put them immediately in their “forever pot”. I am running the 3 gallon fabric pots that came with my Mars Hydro kit 27x27/63(inches). For medium I am using Fox Farms Happy Frog. I water (distilled water) a tiny amount every day or so and run my ts1000 on the 18/6 schedule. I have tried posting in my local FB groups but they are little to no help. I am hoping one, or even a few of you kind folks would take a look at my girls so far and see how they are doing. One of them is about a day or two behind the other since she took her time to pop out of the soil. Thank you so very much in advance.

I’m not a expert in diagnosing problems hopefully someone more experience can chime in but you might have some light stress don’t know the exact specs of your light but the seedling that looks more developed is starting to curl up a little towards the beginning could be light stress or heat stress if your tent gets really hot

I don't know heights for a T1000 but it looks like it needs to be raised.

Everything looks good so far. If you notice your seedlings stretching too much lower the light or increase intensity. At first I usually water a little bit each day as well but then when I start fully watering them I measure out how much they get to help prevent from over/underwatering. I’m a newer grower myself and this has helped me a lot with dialing in my watering practices. For example I have 2 OG kush plants in 2 gal pots and I’m giving them 1/4 gal (32 oz) every few days. Then I bumped them up 8 more oz so now they receive 40 oz. I also use a notebook to write when I do things so I suggest a notebook or calendar by your grow tent. I’m happy to help answer an other questions and welcome to the farm!

You are in the right place, I didn't look at too many of the FB groups but the ones I did were not quality. Read up and ask questions. People here will get you straight. Don't make rash corrections off the first piece of advice you get either.

Thank you all for your help. I was concerned they weren’t growing fast enough and didn’t want to stunt or kill them with too much light or water. I have dialed back my watering so as not to drown the roots. I am still working on my lighting. I think my ts1000 is a 150w from the wall. The larger of the two was starting to get some spots on the leaves so I raised the light about an inch and dialed it back from 70% to 50% and I’m leaving it there for a couple days unless that’s wildly incorrect. I’ve also learned to not make rash corrections because I was driving myself crazy trying to get just this far. There is so much “information” out there that I didn’t know what to believe. I learned quickly to just relax and go with the flow.

I kept my light about 18" from them. You dont want them to stretch too much. Dont water them everyday. Seedling drink slow. I watered mine about once a week. Until they hit the vegitation stage.. im no pro myself but. Passing on what i did.

What % intensity did you run it at? I am going to try and keep the plants low to the ground and am looking forward to some LST once they are old enough.

Yep, about 24-30 inches for light distance for seedlings. Then download the Lux app. So u can monitor light strength. Once you download app, put phone down at plant top, facing up. Lux reading should be around 5k to start. Read up on that, it's critical. By the way- Welcome

That makes me feel much better. I usually check on them a couple times a day which is driving me insane so I have set a schedule to check on them in the morning and in the evening.

I just downloaded a couple Lux apps (iPhone) so I can check that. Great advice!

I get up at 6am for work, turn my lights on (i dont even open the tent) i check on them the second i get home (4pm) than i check em at 11:50pm. (Light goes off at 12am) 18/6. Absolutely the most perfect schedule. It's completely in sync with my sleep schedule. I said to myself "this is my calling" 😂😂 if I'm truly concerned about something during the day while I'm at work I will have my girlfriend video call me. 🤷
