These gnat zappers are also effective, they use UV to attract the flying critters. They work best when the lights are off or are put down low below the canopy. I have one similar but there's a 100 different ones.

Ohh didn't see this post, thanks! I've actually always wanted one of these for the house anyways they seem to work really well for random flys and stuff that get into the house.

Quick update: Today is Day 27 of flower and for the past week have been playing around with feeding schedules and getting rid of the gnats. FYI @GrowHobo and @DeepCoverInDisguise, the BTI seems to have worked really well. Seeing about a 95% reduction in the flyers that I see being caught on the yellow traps, so seems like I may have killed off the bulk of them.

So originally I had a equal small feeds every half hour starting 3 hours after lights on and ending 3 hours before lights off, I was seeing my first runoff at about midday which was exactly what I was shooting for. This equated to about 1600mL of volume per day. Things were chugging along but I wasn't comfortable with the runoff ppm (500 scale) being around 1800. So I have since started feeding an hour earlier and an hour later while making my first 5 feeds bigger and the remaining 12 feeds much smaller. The total volume per day is still about the same (1650mL) and the first runoff comes slightly earlier but this seems to have the added benefit of less salt buildup.

Also was driving myself insane because I kept having my temps drift upwards to 85-86 degrees, this did not happen at all last grow. Then my dumbass realized that my RH sensor had fallen deep inside of the canopy so my dehu was kicking on waaay too often driving my heat up. That has since been fixed, so back to chugging along again and will update soon on how the new feeding schedule impacts the grow for the bulking stage.

On a side note, I really don't enjoy all the different growth patterns when doing everything from seed. I've read about the pros and cons of revegging a "keeper" after harvest. Was thinkign about attempting to re-veg a few solid ones and mother it. Thoughts?

Wow, they got tall. Good thing you still have your grille on your fans.

haha yea, the height they were at the start of stretch had no correlation to how tall they woudl end up hence the very uneven canopy haha. Tried to set it up so it goes tall to short but oh well, too hard to move them now. Maybe next time I'll hold off on the trellis and wait til stretch is over then re-arrange them.

How high are your lights above the canopy?????? I'm guessing that contributed to your stretching.

I am so bad at updating but here goes: Been going through a huge headache because I had a big storm around my way and the basement flooded, which is the location of my tent. So been going shop vaccuming like a mad man, moving around furniture, tearing up carpet, and have carpet driers blowing all day and night for the past 4 days. Don't think anything terrible happened to the grow, some higher than normal heat because my dehu has been overworking due to my entire basement being at an RH of 85+ lately. But anyways, most of the hard work is done in regards to the flood, will probably be installing some vinyl flooring after all is dry.

Today is Week 5 Day 5. I feel like I see some minor foxtailing, maybe due to the heat lately?
Still feeding at 800ppm, when the res is about 1/3 full, I'll add back RO water until it dilutes down to 450ppm~ and feed it until the res is empty, this process ends up being about a week long res tank. I noticed when I kept my res at 800ppm consistently I was getting some runoff numbers that were a bit too high for my liking. Going 800ppm then 450ppm for each week is getting me much better runoff numbers and seeing less burnt tips.

Currently the feeding schedule starts 2 hours after lights on and 2 hours before lights shut off:
5 shots of 150mL every 30 minutes, then the remaining 12 shots of 90mL every 30 min. This brings me to 1800mL of volume per day with runoff roughly 15% or so. I'll be on the lookout for my runoff % changing and adjust accordingly. As always any questions that may lead to some good advice/conversation is always welcome.
