Electrical experts, I need your help!

I'm thinking of upgrading from my 5x5 tent to a 4x8 tent which would mean a bit more fan power and light power. All my cords and equipment are safe and good quality. I just want to ensure I'm not pushing the power limitations of my place (I live in a 2 bedroom). My setup would be as follows:

4 x Mars Hydro TSL2000's (300w x 4) I'm currently running 3 of these lights
8" AC Infinity for exhaust (110w Max) I'm currently using a 6"
6" AC Infinity for intake
Small Humidifier
2 x 4" clip on fans and one 10" Oscillating fan

The lights would be plugged into one outlet on their own and the rest would be split up between other outlets, but all in the same bedroom. Is this a safe setup still?

All those outlets are most likely on the same circuit. Check your breaker panel to see what size breaker you have. It’s probably a 15amp but a 20amp would be better. Just don’t exceed the breaker in total amp draw from your equipment.

I don't think you have enough available amperage and you'll be tripping breakers. adding another 300w is iffy. Just because you have multiple receptacles doesn't mean you have multiple circuits. If an older home Id say no way but in a newer home separate arc fault breakers can be required by the bed. so 2 circuits maybe there. Seeing as you can put up to 12 outlets( including lights ) on a 15 amp circuit. When I wired a house I hopped from one plug to anther to a light to a switch back to a plug and so on. So 1 circuit covered 1 area of the home. Unless as you got lucky and were at the end of 1 circuit and the start of another...Or sometimes liighting is on 1 and power on another then you could grab a second circuit out of your lights. It all depends on Specs or the guy doing the wiring.

On the stickers of your products it says volts/amps check how many amps on each product and add them up.

Plug it all in, find out which breaker trips, upgrade it and the wire. You can run an extension cord through your house and branch off other breakers so you can at least test your system and run it until you figure out how to upgrade. This is what I'm doing until I can figure out what I need to install. I'm running 2000w hids in a 4x8 plus two 8 inch inline fans, window unit.. Air and water pumps, and 2 cheap fans... I am kicking 15amp breakers left and right lol.. Good luck

Thanks everyone, really appreciate it, I'll do some more digging and see how my place is set up. I dont want to push it and I'm ok staying where I'm at if need be. I do have a possible secondary option of renting a room somewhere else.

Just a tip....Breakers are only guaranteed to trip at its rating once. Each time they trip an arc creates a small spot on the contacts multiple trips can lock out the breaker and it won't trip eventually causing a fire. Or they can start tripping at lower wattage's 1400..1300...800. We used to trip circuits with a cross wired plug to locate the circuit in a panel. Push it in and pop blew the breaker Until one day the circuit didn't trip and we started a fire in the panel. Burning that circuit and any wires that were close....Caused a fk of a mess....We stopped doing that....Fuses blow once and get replaced I still live in a house with fuses and a 100Amp panel.

That's good to know. The way I have it ran now nothing trips, just got extension cords ran from utility room, and opposite side of house

I researched a hair more, not off work till tomorrow.. But yea i got questions or should I say statements?

240 can't run off a single breaker right?

You can run 120 in _______ with a dual breaker. Meaning I will have double the amps available if I run the correct wire. Or I can run one 240 outlet with the same correct wire as used above. This wire will have two negatives(hot) one positive(return) and most likely a ground.

Can I run that same cord above, from a dual 20amp breaker? Would that get me 20 or. 40 amps since it's a dual? And I'm assuming I can wire it as 120 or 240? If I wanted 20 amps each off those two breakers at 120, would I have to run two wires? If I try to run just one strand of 4wire 8 Guage, would it even hook up to the 20amp recepticles? I think I could do it easy by running 2 strands of 12g 3 wire instead of the 1 strand of 8g 4 wire.

Last question. How many 20 amp recepticles can one breaker handle? Is it just dependant on amp load?
