I'm a first time grower and have definetly gone through some growing pains. In the beggining I was way overwatering and my lights were too close. You guys helped me fix that. I'm on day 25 and for the most part all of my plants look really good (atleast I think considering I'm new to growing).
I just transplanted my plants 3 days ago, my solo cups were full of roots that all looked healthy. At the time of transplant they were all put in Fox Farm potting mix. They all received the same 6.0PH leveled wated that had a light feeding of FoxFarm balanced water, all got their first light feeding which included FoxFarm "Big Bloom", FoxFarm "Grow Big", Fox Farm " CalMag" and a teaspoon of Organic Black Strap Mollasses. Again, all the plants look really good, one is a tab bit smaller but my one concern is that one of the plants has lower leaves that are a little yellow. Could anyone possibly offer suggestions if they are all in same conditions, had same feeding, same everything, why just one would be fading in color. Is there anything I should and or can do? Also any opinions in how the plants look for 24 days old would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so far for helping this new grower get somewhere in his grow.

It also looks like you have a pH issue. What is your pH?

If Aquaman sees you’re watering techniques he’ll have a conniption fit and good chance you’ll get banned! 😀 Read his watering post, give your plants a proper watering, and repost some new pictures of your completely moist pots, just to be safe.

Thanks For the info and the threads. I'm all new to this and with the millions of videos and articles out there I'm just trying my best. I went through almost losing my plants from day 1 to 4 due to overwatering so I let them dry out. I read Many articles on making sure the soil is damp when you are transplanting them. So I dampened the soil, made an impression with a Solo cup and transplanted. The root balls all looked great and NO soil came apart during transplant. I then followed many suggestions of watering around the root ball that I transplanted hence why the soil looked more wet around the diameter of the plant. I have managed to always balance my P.H. between 6.0 and 6.4. Most recently right at 6.2 and this was my reading after making my mix with all my nutrients, macro nutrients etc. I guess that once I'm due for my next watering I will saturate the whole pot vs right around the current root ball. I'm just most confused because it's just one plant showing some sort of deficiency and they are receiving the same everything. But all I can do is keep trying. Thanks for the feed back.

Make your pH 6.5 on the nose.
Change your watering habits.
Everything else looks wonderful! Great job!

Looking forward to it on my next watering. It will be he'll of alot easier to get it at 6.5 vs 6 to 6.2 Out of our faucet it comes out right around 6.8. I have ow logged it in my journal to do watering with 6.5 PH. And will keep taking suggestions and see what happens. Should I keep doing half dose feedings at this point every other watering? Bump it up to normal feedings to see if it's nitrogen deficiency? Or should I do a complete flush my next watering and basically start over?

Plants are like kids, there’s always a problem one. Are these all the same strain? As different strains require different amounts of nutrients, some are super heavy feeders and some do fine with small amounts. And sometime different phenotype (observable characteristics) of the same strain have different requirements. So it’s fairly typical that one plant, even of the same strain, will grow differently. Your plants look pretty good, so I wouldn’t stress. Just get your watering down, make sure your fabric pots are elevated off the floor (with some rack/spacers), and you keep your feed in check (i.e. on the low side).

I would not flush. Flushing is for when you’ve really screwed up - like accidentally dropped your bottle of nutrients in the pot. You’re plants good fine. Most of the time it isn’t lack of nutrients, but a plant uptake issue - which is caused by poor watering techniques. Some more (good) info:

I would only feed them twice a month at this point. Just pH'ed water the rest of the time.

Good job on cutting the feed amounts. Never go by the charts on the bottle. Cut them by 75%.

Like I've said before there are millions on millions of opinions out there and I've done best to try and pick and choose certain things that I think would be beneficial. Ironically i own a successful landscape buisness where I live, went to a Great horticulture school and have a vast knowledge in plants in general. But I will say it's crazy that a "weed" truly can be finicky. Honestly I'm playing around with different things just to see what works and what doesn't before I setup the room where I'll really be doing stuff in. These plants are autoflowers by the way and some say never to crop the tip, and some say to do it. I went against some people's judgments and with others suggestions and cropped it and within 2 days you could start see the formation of 2 seperate nodes right where I snipped. It will be great if all 5 plants do really well, but frankly if I can get one or 2 to do AWESOME I will be happy. I journal every time I do anything and take pictures about every 2 days. So far I'm 90 percent happy. It's just one plant out of 5 showing issues and all the newer growth looks really good. I'll keep taking and following suggestions as I feel this site has been the most helpful

I have grown everything outside from apple trees to wheat and every kind of veggie. I grew up on a cattle ranch with a 1 acre garden, (5 acres, but only 1 was ours) We never went to the store for food. but when we started growing indoors, everything I knew had to change because it is a very different environment. You will catch up quickly, no worries.
My biggest hurdle was the lighting. Once I had that figured out, the rest began to fall into place.

Autos, Ok. Most of us do not care for autos inside as they have their own schedule and many times develop weird symptoms when indoors. You will get some good smoke from them but photos in many opinions are much better. We like Feminized Photo seeds. Personal preference.

That's my plan. I was on time constraint because we are getting married and leaving for Jamaica in October for 10 days. I was hoping to time it all to harvest right when I got back. We are buying a house in December also which is when I'll really dive into it and hopefully have my own personal growing space. WE are bound to a small townhouse with no yard at all so between time constraints and space limits so that's the only reason I went with autos. I am 100000% on wanting to do photos vs auto's from here on out.

One of the main sources of confusion on sites like this, is that different styles of growing sometimes require totally different techniques. What works in coco doesn’t necessarily apply to soil (especially in terms of watering and fertigation.) You can get a ton of conflicting info where a soil grower tells you to throw your pH pen in the trash and a hydrophobic grower insist you need to measure pH religious. Both are right for their setups. I grow organic, outdoor in dirt. I have no reason to test my water pH or runoff EC (as neither are relevant in my grow). The Farm is head and shoulders above most of the bro-science dick swinging sites out there. Read through a couple of the grow journals with similar setups and you’ll find a lot of good info.

100% ^^ Ours is as organic as we can get it under the conditions we have available. We don't mess with pH unless something insane happens overnight, but we have strict rules for making sure the entire media is watered each time because of hydrophobic soils.
Its the same thing when it comes to harvesting. We do not want our entire grow to be a sedative, so we harvest when it's just turning milky. Others feel that if they're not drooling then it's junk weed.

Welcome to the FARM and Congratz! 🤙 😎

Our last grow was Durbin Poison and Grand Daddy Purple (GDP), which we harvested at about 5-10% amber and it was ONOlicious! 😋 It had a nice fruity flavor and was very energizing!

*WARNING: Don't smoke it in the middle of the night, unless you're planning on cleaning your house and the neighbor's house too! 😂
