Is there a difference between indica or sativa plants?

New to the growing game and was wondering does getting a indica plant mean it’s gonna hit like a indica or a sativa like a sativa because ive been reading and people always say harvest when amber for a couch lock effect or harvest when clear or milky for a more head high

So does it more depend on when you harvest?

No, it's more dependent on the genetics of the strain. Harvesting earlier or later is fine tuning.

We harvested our Grand Daddy Purple (Indica Dom) with about 5-10% amber, we didn't want any "couch-lock"...It was very energetic like a Sativa, took care of the chronic pain along with other issues lol...My main issue was that I couldn't smoke it after waking up in the middle of night to go to the bathroom, coz after a couple of HOURS (aka 3AM) I've cleaned the kitchen and bathroom, and now I'm in need of a couch-lock smoke to put me back to sleep! We're for sure working on that "order" with this grow of Durbin Poison...
