Hello everyone!
I'm growing first time, indoors & with not so proper set up.
I thought I studied enough before buying seeds and starting the whole thing, but turned out that I didn't absorb enough knowledge.
I feel a bad for my girls and I'd really appreciate your feedback; though it'll be mainly negative, but that's just the case right now.
So - I have 3 Plant!t - pots, each 11l. And three standard ones, which are square 6l, with 15 days old NL autos growing in each of them.
In those 11L ones is growing:
Pot nro 1: 2x Royal AK, 1x Mimosa - autos
Pot nro 2: NL auto x1, Mimosa auto x2
Pot nro 3: NL auto x1
Every plant above are germinated 17th of October, Mimosas sprouted inside 20 hours. I've still seen them as same aged, so today they are 30 days from sprouting.
Soil I'm using is 100%natural Plagron's BatMix.
First two weeks with mimosas, Royal AKs and these same aged NL's, were full of serious fails. I received via Post 600w MH-lamp on the same time they sprouted, but it was broken, and it took insanely long to get the changed one here & be able to give a proper light. Managed rather poorly with leds, while waiting.
Also made a bad mistake(s) when transported those 2-3cm tall seedlings into their actual pots - soil was way too wet, not airy like should've been and only some god knows why i stuffed them all in three pots?!
Anyway - they got their first nutrients when aged 16 days, which was 2ml/2 liters BioCanna Vega, I shared that amount between the three pots, so 2ml was total dose.
Same stuff I gave three days after first feeding, but even less that time.
During their 4th week they got GHE Grow Pro, minimum dosage, same day i noticed pistils and smell began to be obvious and really nice. 10th of November they got CalMag, half less than recommended in the bottle.
14th of this month I gave TA:s FloraMato, tiny amount. Next day I changed the bulb, now they have 600w HPS.
Been flushing between every single feeding. Ph has been all the time a bit high, 7,0 - 7,5 but I figured recently how to effectively control it more.
Temps has been from 24,5 to 29 celcius, humidity chronicly too low, (33% average) been waiting ultrasonic-mist maker to finally arrive. Fan brings dry, cold outdoor-air inside tent.
Plant to lamp distance is a bit less than 80cms.
I've been performing some LST, even defoliated some time ago, but i've learned how training ain't good from this on anymore.
Many things has been & still are totally fucked up 🤦 But most of them have actual, stigma-full little flowers already!
Right now, after ph'd flushing done 8 hours ago, they are at least partly droopy and looking sad.
Oh and about the light cycle - been running 24 hours the whole time.
So, is it realistic to expect any yield? Should i just grawl under my bed and cry three weeks & stick on growing plain kitchen herbs.
Thank you already for every possible thought from you, I feel like i'm on a critical need of experienced views.

Hello. At first glance, the plants look quite watered, lift the pot and see if it is heavy or light, the other thing I think you need to do is to change the seed cycle to 18/6 so that the plant can regenerate. do not lose hope just monitor the condition of the plants and post photos and future questions here

I thought the exact same thing. Soil looks wet as a swamp. Personally I think the 18/6 and allowing soil to dry up is best. Then make sure not to overwater. My dumbass did and i think i caused discoloration. Normally I watered every 3 days, plant wilted after high temps and no water in soil so i over watered by giving decent amounts 3 days in a row. Dumbass rookie mistake on my part. Dont drown the plants. Less water is far better than too much

I don't do autos, and I wouldn't recommend them for anyone- especially new growers. That said, they look ok and you get what they decide to give.
Hi,
I got quite strong picture from famous seed-selling sites articles etc. how autoflower is the very best choice for newbies. Been thinking that recently - it maybe really wouldve been smart move to have photoperiods, because i would ve been able to keep them on veg a longer time, to fix my mistakes atleast a bit.
The yield I'll get, if getting any, will be exactly what i deserve. More important is this process of learning how to please those cuties enough to end up being rewarded myself🙈
Felt really, really good to read those words from you, that they look ok! Much more positive feedback what i was waiting. Thank you!

They look over watered and over mothered. I don't think flushing that often is recommended... and defoliating and training autos is also a slippery slope. I would say try some photos for your next grow, as they are more forgiving.
First timer here and the long veg Im doing is allowing for alot of learning. Each issue gets addressed and builds my confidence. I was thinking autos were more of a niche kinda thing. Gotta know exactly how to treat them which is nearly impossible for a newbie

Hi,
I'm definately going to keep asking and posting updates - i'm excited and relieved to see how much help i've already got! 🍀
I flushed them first time today following advice to really flush the "hell out of them". Before today, i've been "flushing" a way wich should be titled as general, careful watering. This is why i'm afraid they have root issues, not well enough developed roots due unproper flushs earlier. I tried to be SUPER careful not to drown them, so watering-amounts have been far less than those week-averages told in step by step-guides.
Light cycle ain't going to slower the process if I switch the cycle on the one you recommend?
Thank you ☀️☀️

Yeah I personally have never done an auto, I got some free auto seeds and if I get a tent, I may give one a go... but yeah, autos don't have time to recover from any oopsies.

Your diagnose about over mothering must be 100% true 🤦
I chose autos also because of the timing; things affecting my growing-place will start to be less stealthy at the beginning of january. But at the spring i'll be able to start again, photoperiod it'll be, convicted about it now.

What do you think about the nutes & amounts i've been giving? Should i keep up this tiny-amount feeding?
I have biocannas and T.A's synthetic products - should i give biocannas instead the whole time? Since it would make the risk of nuteburn smaller?
If even making it to the end, then T.A's Ripen too?

Try just water for a week. No nutes. They dont show signs of hunger so maybe just allow it to get used to the new conditions like less water. Also make sure pots are not on the floor, even an inch off the floor helps the rootzone temps, and dont feed anything atm. Just let it bounce back from the stress. I would not LST the plants and dont defoliate as it will add in additonal stress.

Don't beat yourself up, just take it as a learning experience. How often in life do you do something perfectly on the first attempt? I've been gardening since I was a kid (not weed obviously 🤣) and I still make mistakes. I grew in my early 20s then took a decade plus hiatus cause of my hub's job... I've only gotten back into growing herb in the last 4 years. This site is a wealth of knowledge and the folks here are great. You'll learn to listen to what the plants are telling you they need with experience. Your main goal is to give them the best environment you can and just let them grow. They like to dry out between watering as well, I start mine indoors since I live in zone 4, then they go out in spring. I usually only water like every 3 days when they are smaller and in veg, obviously you up the water as they grow. Don't go by how the top soil looks because it dries out fast and will still be soaked underneath. Get in the habit of lifting the pot of soil when you first fill it and it's dry, and then lift it after watering to run off... and don't water again till it's light. It's really easy to overthink and over mother... less is more with growing a lot of the time.

Starting- now when also following another advices - a routine of lifting & comparing on a dry soil-filled, no plant having, same sized pot on the ones with plant(s) in them.
Your comment gave me hope and ability to give mercy towards myself, and i can really relate on that path of learning😂

This. And that high ph wasn't helping. Get that down to around 6-6.5, and let the pot dry more before watering.

Much harder to get a good auto harvest than a photo ! Much more forgiving

And aren't autos small over all as well? I've never grown one but every pic of them I've seen, they are like little bonsai babies lol.

Autos are just autos. I haven't grown in over 20 years and I am growing a beast of an auto right now. Tell me this looks like a bonsai?

Sure autos have less room for error than photos but honestly they are not much different in regards to growing. I know folks have mixed feelings on em but as my first auto grow goes, I am stoked to harvest her soon and go "Whomp Whomp!" When I post her harvest pics 😁

Your plants do look very wet. Taking images with the light off will help also. There is so much yellow from the light that it's hard to actually tell what's going on with the leaves. Try a dark shot with just the camera flash.

Also, are you flushing or just skipping the feeding like every other water or so?

I rarely skip feedings and only flush during the last week or so before harvest. I do skip feeding some times depending on what the plant is telling me also but there is no reason to flush unless you made a big nute mistake. Trying to tame your PH though, I can see that.

Check out my auto Bruce Banner grow and progress. It's not from day one but it has some good details in it and can give you an idea of the progression of autos. Don't give em up! They will likely surprise you 😉

Plus, my biggest worry with my current auto grow was size. She started out small and bushy. I thought she was going to end up bonsai sized...Lol.

We watch these plants grow daily and can worry about everything under the sun as we watch the grass grow. Things will get more comfortable as time goes on and you get to know your plants more. I check out my chick 3-4 times a day, blow in her ear and whisper sweet nothings to her as well during every visit 😎.
