Hello Growers !

I have decided to switch from my 400wMH set up with cool tube to a SF4000 LED...I have a 3.2 x 3.2 feet tent.
I have started this grow under the MH bulb then switched the the SF4000 last night...first time growing with LED so I may have made a few mistakes.

I have a 6" clip fan to move air , humidifier keeping humidity at 50 to 60%. Using an AC infinity 6" fan extractor blowing the hot air in to the room where the tent is. I keep the room's window always a bit open so fresh and cold air can get into the room.

My plants are about a week old, I've set the lamp at about 24" from plants and tuned it on at 100% power...way too much uh ?
First issue I started to see was hot temp in the tent...like going up to 85F/29.5C....I solved it adjusting a bit the air extraction and also dimmed the light to 60%.

One of the plants started to show some white spots on one of the leafs...it looked like a spider mites signs so I have cleaned the leaves with End All Safer Brand. I did it once while under the MH bulb and once last night under the LED ( which was at 100% for maybe 8 to 10 hrs until I dimmed it ).

I noticed that one leaf has like a dried out edge and the leaves are drooping....on the other 3 plants I did not see this so I am wondering if this could have been the result of too much light + the product I used for what I think are parasites ?

What do you think may have happened ? If it was too much light I should have seen similar effects o n the other plants too but they seem to do fine ?

thanks !

Look a bit like mite bites. The plant looks in need of N and more water IMO

yes I'm going to start adding some nutrients right now...I had a bag of Miracle Grow seed start potting soil and used it for this run but it seems that all the 3 seeds I planted in it came out looking a bit pale green. I guess that this also has something to do with the lack of nutes

I would definitely get something with N on there but also make sure you are watering correctly. If your roots are drying out then they are going to get nutrients. Not too familiar with the MG seedling mix but I assume its light on food do if you have some MG food, I would feed it some. Check under the leaf for mites. Look carefully near those spots but always under. Also not sure what end all is but it sounds bad.

The nutrients are your bigger issue right now. You can hold off on the spray for now. As the plant gets a bit bigger, I would yank off the old leaves that may have mites on them and toss em. Mites are easy to kill but even easier on a small plant.

as far as watering I have been watering by spraying making sure that I got a good amount sprayed, I'll look into adding a bit more + N.

I would saturate it and see how long it take to dry in your room. Go from there. IF you already watered today don't do that, but next watering.

Issue was the light. Way to close. Probably blasting the seedling with 50-60k Lumens.

yes ...first time user mistake...I dimmed it to 60% and kept the distance at 24". SF400 manual says from 24 to 30 " but doesn't mention the intensity.
